Dave’s home.

This week has been a little nuts and it’s not even over yet. Dave left Monday morning for Erie because of a job. Only an hour or so after getting there he calls me and tells he has to drive back because his computer crashed. He’s been having trouble with his work computer for months now and they told him it would be fine while he was gone, but duh they were wrong. So he drives another two hours back home with the roads in Erie being covered in black ice. He calls me when he gets back to the office and tells me he’ll have to wait for the IT guys to come from Pittsburgh to come fix it and if they don’t have it done by four o’clock he was going to stay home and drive back Tuesday morning. Obviously he was stressed out, but I was happy that he’d be home with me one more night.  After talking to him I went to use the bathroom and the toilet had no water in it. Also the sink wouldn’t turn on. My pipes had froze!   This was the part of the house that was an addition and the pipes didn’t have any insulation on them.  So I called Dave and this made him fume even more. He called this guy who had done work for us before and he said he would be able to come Tuesday.  Dave’s computer ended up not being fixed till almost five o’clock, so he came home to be with us for the night.  Tuesday he left again and the plumber came around noon. Luckily the pipes hadn’t broke and all he had to do was put a hairdryer on them. He put insulation on them too, so we shouldn’t have anymore problems.

Tuesday night was pretty boring. I did some laundry and stayed up pretty late because I didn’t feel tired.  Wednesday afternoon Dave called me and told me they checked out of the hotel and he’d be heading home in a little bit.  YAY! This made my day because my mom has been sick this week and I knew she wasn’t going to be able to come to stay with me.  Dave got home around seven-thirty last night and he said he didn’t feel good. He said he was throwing up all morning.   EEK, don’t give it to me!   Being the nice wife that I am, I babied him and didn’t make him take out the trash like I had originally planned. I honestly think he felt sick because the guy who went up with him to this job is a partier. I’m sure he drank more then his share when they went out for dinner and he just doesn’t want to admit it. lol

Well I need to go and take a shower and put some clothes away.

God. Computer problems suck, especially when they’re related to work. What a hassle he went through! I am glad your pipes weren’t completely busted. Doh. It’s definitely cold enough for them to freeze. BRRR :
