Busy weekend.

This past weekend was pretty busy, but it was fun to be out so much and not be stuck in the house.

Thursday we went to my parents’ house and then to my Aunt’s so I could see my cousin and my grandparents. We were home by six, and the rest of the night we just watched tv and relaxed.

Friday we went out shopping, but we missed all the good sales because we didn’t leave the house until after nine. Thursday night I was having trouble sleeping, so I could of snuck out by myself for the early bird sales, but my luck I’d come home with a black eye and empty handed. lol First we went to Best Buy and everything was picked over, which wasn’t that surprising since people are there at midnight waiting for the store to open. So we head to Circuit City and got a deal on a portable dvd player for Keira. We thought it’d be great for long car trips or even plane rides. We’ve already had it in bed so she could watch a movie and she loves it. We went to to the mall after that and got most of our Christmas shopping done, minus a few little things for a couple people.

Saturday we went with my mom to lunch and then had Keira’s Christmas pictures done. She smiled for every pic and she did a good job, but I was disappointed that they didn’t even let me choose the backgrounds and they were so quick to shove me out the door so they could do the other people in line. Hey it’s not my fault they were over booked and we didn’t get in until a half hour after our scheduled appointment! I don’t think I’ll be going back to JcPenney’s for pics anymore. After we were done there, we went to take her to see Santa, which I thought would go well. She was waving to Santa and watching all the other kids getting their pictures taken. All the smiling and waving stopped when Dave put her on Santa’s lap. She squeezed out an instant flow of tears while screaming and trying to slide off of his lap. We tried to calm her down, but she didn’t want to hear it. So needless to say there is no Santa pic, and I don’t think I’m going to try again and get her all upset. We let her go on the train afterwards, and that cheered her right up again. She LOVES the train. After three dollars and fifteen times around, we told her it was time to go and they did not make her happy, but once the train was out of site, she got over it. We headed home after that and Sunday we didn’t do anything. Keira’s nose starting running like a faucet on Sunday and she was sneezing and coughing, which I’m sure has to do with the millions of germs at the mall, but I hope by this weekend she’ll be over it.

We still haven’t received Dave’s CPA results yet and it’s driving us both crazy. I think we’re more anxious because this is the last test. If he passed this one he’s DONE, so we’re very excited/nervous. With all the other tests, it took atleast three weeks before we got the results and yesterday it’ll be only two weeks since he took the test. I don’t think we’ll actually get the results until next week or later, and I’m going nuts! :p
