Patience Is A Virtue…
My Dearest Readers,
I am supposed to be starting at Piedmont Virginia Community Collage on Monday. I’m almost positive I won’t be. The financial aid lady told my mom that all she had to do was write a letter explaining our financial situation and that she would put a hold on my classes so that they wouldn’t get dropped. Well, Apparently she lied because my classes were all already dropped. I don’t have any classes, I don’t know if I can sign up for any more classes, and I don’t even know fully whether or not the F.A.F.S.A. actually went through or not. The school hasn’t called or e-mailed back. My mom’s called at least three times now with no answers. I have absolutely no idea what’s going on with that. It’s kind-of just all up in the air right now. Classes start on Monday. My mom is going to call again tomorrow but there’s really nothing I can do at this point. If they don’t answer then I don’t get to go to school. If they answer we can sort this all out. It’s a toss up at this point.
Today I babysat for my friend’s nephew, kinda. I baby sat him on Friday by myself. Today my friend and I took him to Natural Bridge Zoo. It was fun for all involved. Mostly. I’m bringing this up because something happened that really bothered me. This child is 9 months old, mind you. We were going down the interstate when he woke up, he started crying and screaming. He does that when he wakes up. (Or at least has every time he’s fallen asleep around me.) Well, My friend started getting frustrated because talking to him didn’t get him to stop. He turned the music up louder. He turned it back down and then he was imitating the screaming. He has absolutely no patience for his nephew. The baby fell asleep right after that. We got to a rest stop a short while later and it turns out that he just needed his diaper changed. I found out he is afraid of changing tables. I strapped him in to it and he started screaming. This old lady gave me like a really mean look for no reason. (I guess she thought he was my baby? I dunno.) while I was trying to change him. We left and about 15 or so minutes later we got to the zoo. Everything was fun after that. We took lots of pictures and fed some deer/goats. We stopped at Natural Bridge’s Cafe. The baby fell asleep in my arms so he was snoozing while I was carrying him around. It was adorable. We all ate lunch and then we came home. He peed all over his shirt when I was changing him after we got back. Today was a really good day. The only reason I’m even telling you this is because of my friend. It really bothered me that he had no patience at all for his own nephew. I understand that it isn’t his child and everything, but he’s not mine either and I never once got upset with him. He just can’t handle babysitting him for too long. [My friend lives with his parents who have custody of the child. Their grandchild. It’s a long story.] He has a temper, I suppose. So, when the little one was crying in the car and I was trying to calm him down, I also had to deal with trying to calm my friend down. I shouldn’t have to keep him calm, he is an adult after all. I don’t understand how he can run with rescue squad but not have any patience for a child at all. It really bothers me. Oh well, I bet it’s because he’s a boy…A boy who doesn’t have his own kid. (I don’t have a child, either, I’ve just been helping take care of them since I was a lot younger. Plus I’ve babysat since age 12.) Anyway, I probably could have summed that up in less words… Oh well. I guess it’s too late to go back now.
I can’t sleep. I have no idea what’s up with me at this point..I just can’t sleep. I’m restless, shaky, jittery, and extremely jumpy. I don’t know what’s wrong.
I’ve been lonelier than before. I just want to feel close to someone. Star needs to come home. I understand why I can’t though. He’s out serving our country in Korea. I’ll see him in June…
I can’t write anymore right now I’m falling asleep. I’ll write more tomorrow night.
I love you, Readers.

That’s ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Patience is very important with kids…and as a dude who watches his nephew A LOT….I;m awesome with kids lol. Your friend needs to calm down and take a chill pill. đŸ˜›

Age is absolutely no excuse to behave like an infant, because of an infant. When I have kids, they are going to be expected to act mature and responsible around little children, and animals. They will learn animals the same way I did. If you get tagged because you do something wrong that the animal didn’t like I’m going to tend the wound and tell them they deserved it. This guy seems like he…

has next to no control over himself. No patience, and justifies it with age, when he is more than old enough to know what’s wrong with that. He will make a terrible father if he can’t have the patience to pay attention to what the child is telling him.

Yeah, but his kids are going to do the exact same thing. He needs to nut up and act like an adult. Good person or not, acting like a child is unacceptable when caring for a child.
