I Accept Rachel’s Challange

 My Dearest Readers,

Today I am here to talk to you about something called Rachel’s Challenge.

[Yesterday there was an assembly at my school for Rachel’s Challenge. Most of the students in my school went in there believing that it was just a reason to get out of class. It was very eye-opening for most of us, and I hope that they no longer see it as just a cheap way to get out of doing school work. I hope it opened as many eyes and hearts as it intended to. I hope the people who signed our banner accept and live by Rachel’s Challenge.]

Rachel’s Challenge is a five part challenge posed by Rachel Scott.

Rachel was the first to die in the Columbine High School shootings. She was among 12 students and 1 teacher that died that day.

Rachel’s Challenge is all about seeing the best in others, doing simple acts of kindness, and making a better world for all of us. I sincerely hope that you get the chance to see the hour long presentation about Rachel. It is truly life-changing.

Start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion!

I understand what they were doing with this, I do, but I disagree. Since we were arrived in this world they’ve taught us to be kind to one another, to love and care for each other, to always be there and help in any way we can, to be selfless. Then why aren’t we now? If that’s what we’ve been trying to do since we were young, what makes this any different? Sorry if this seems rude, just wondering.

That’s a good answer 🙂
