when the beat beat beat of the tom tom tom

I avoid posting pictures of myself online like the plague.  So here’s a picture of my celebrity look-alike:

I’m not losing quite as much hair as Mr. Anthony Edwards, but when my glasses looked like his, I used to get the "Do you know who you look like…?" question a couple times a month.  Once while in Atlantic City, an older gentleman actually thought that I was "the guy from the E.R. show."  I told him, "if I was, do you think I’d be sitting here at a quarter slot machine in A.C.?"  About 10 minutes later I pulled the handle and won almost $40,000 on the progressive slot.

My wife’s celebrity look alike, Marisa Tomei.  I know, poor me.

Someone gave me an iTunes gift card a while back, so I thought I’d be a little different and buy 15 different cover versions of "Blackbird" by The Beatles.  I love that song.  Very simple, yet beautiful melody.

Next time maybe I’ll try 15 versions of Cole Porter’s "Night and Day."  Another one of my favorites.

You know how when your computer sits idle for a little while, the screen goes blank to save power, and you have to jiggle the mouse or tap on the keyboard to "wake it up?"  Well, I always tap the ‘H’ key on the keyboard to wake mine up – never the mouse, never another key.  Probably a little obsessive/compulsive, eh?

Excuse me while I go count the tiles on my kitchen floor.
