Well, it has been a hectic weekend of running around doing last minute things for a party next weekend.    I got some plates and forks in a variety of colours to match the variety of colours of balloons that Kooky picked out for her 2 dozen bouquet.   It sounds like a lot, but they are the plain latex and I figured each kid there could have one or two to take home.   The choices were quite funky but it’s her party and I let her pick them for the most part.   I have a head count of RSVP’s of about 40, but there are many that didn’t let me know.  I am going to leave it at 50 and if more show up, TOO BAD!   There might not be enough plates and forks.   I always have too many people and swear that the next year I won’t.   I am looking at about $45 for food though which isn’t bad.   That includes balloons.   I am having cake, soda, fruit juice boxes, pretzels, chips or crackers, and sprinkling hershey’s kisses on the tables for some sparkle.   I have always done food in the past and it adds up!   There will be about 10-15 kids there, all ages.
I think for her birthday we will be giving her:   one of her wooden puzzles, hippity hop ball, her happy birthday cake puzzle that she can decorate and serve, and her microphone.   That leaves her alphabet puzzle, her other wooden puzzle, her dora scooter, her dora dance mat thingie, her toss game, and many little stocking stuffers for Christmas morning.   No wonder we are broke yet again.   I try and buy her things that will be used for awhile and that are educational in some form.   But fun is important too.
We are both feeling better, but having some side effects from the antibiotics.   Nothing serious, just icky.  Since I am a mom, I was thrown right back into the busy lifestyle to which I am accustomed to.   Isn’t that the way?   I am taking a break now letting my oh so red hair dye take while J plays outside with her in the cool and crisp weather.   WE still need to grocery shop and finish up one last load of laundry for the day.
It’s off to a hot shower for me!

I cannot wait to see pics of her and her birthday party! I’m glad that you’re feeling better! ryn: She doesn’t always look like that for school. Underneath the cute jacket, its a plain, slightly stained body suit! 🙂
