I am the deep blue nothing drowning in the noise choking choking break repeating reaching reaching empty drifting fading fading just the surface I am the deep blue nothing.

ready or not for better or worse it's time to learn what we were taught it's do or die sink or swim out on a limb it's fall or fly time to shine the moment is mine

filling up on empty things that leave you wanting more sick and tired and no more satisfied than what you were before

are you gonna be my shelter are you gonna hold me tight are you gonna hold my hand and hold me through the night?

once elaborate wallpaper now yellowed and peeling away the framework underneath rotting and decayed the rafters start to give the fragments fall like rain shards of glass from window panes shatter into sand this time and place this golden age has come and passed tidal waves are rising fast

plastic pearls laced round your neck they strangle you with doubt you won't take them off or trade them in holding on to what you have afraid to be without

the light that you've been chasing burned out, a long time ago and your silver lining's tarnished turns out, it wasn't gold

You're looking down at me I get up off my knees Give you everything you want Everything you see Tilt my head Can't look you in the eyes Hold you close And give you one last lie Going through the motions Everything you say Turn my back And let you have your way.

shadows cross the tile cold beneath your feet you've been here for awhile but you still have yet to see these four walls around you they're thin enough to see through but you've become so blinded by everything that's not you can't even see the beauty in everything you've fought
