update thiiiiiiiiis!!!!!!

Medication update: So Jon has been on the medication for about 2 weeks now? Going into the 3rd. He’s doing ok. I notice that things I say things and cringe. Before he’d blow up at me, throw an attitude, and freak out. Now he takes it in and responds pretty calmly (Like if I tell him to pick something up or do a school assignment. It used to be a battle EVERY time, but now it’s smooth 3 out of 4 times). He did have a bit of a melt down on Tuesday. I think it was my fault and I had to apologize. I commented on his maturity level and how he was not an adult yet. This seems to be a very sore spot for him. He wants to be seen as older and beyond his years. He is only 11… almost 12 in a few months, but still, he’s not even a teenager yet. He still has those young kid thoughts. For example, we went out to eat. He wanted an expensive entree (beef ribs, his favorite) and we knew it would be a lot of food. We told him that if he ate it, he would not get dessert (He is getting overweight, sadly. I saw in the swimming pool that he has put on a lot of pounds that you can’t see when he is just in normal clothes). Anyway, he then wanted dessert and threw a fit that it wasn’t "fair" that he didn’t get one, even though we had explained it all to him before he got the meal that he wanted.

SO!

I mentioned that was just immaturity and by the end of the night he was sobbing and saying he wanted to go away somewhere to learn how to be  good. It was heart breaking. I apologized for what I said and i think that helped.  I don’t know. I’m doing the best I can. So there is that.

Nugget Update: Yep, he’s pulling up onto tables and couches and cruising and getting into everything. he is so mischievous and has the cutest little grin when he’s about to do something risky or "bad". He still doesn’t have any teeth but I have a feeling that will change soon. He’s been so fussy and grabbing at his mouth so I’m keeping an eye out for teeth to pop sooner or later. He is still nursing primarily, yes he is 8  months old now, but it’s just what we’ve decided to do. He gets food when I eat and has his biggest meal around dinner time. I’ll usually give him some pureed fruit or vegetable with whatever table bits I feed him. He is not losing any weight and is just happy with how things are going. I know that when he wants to, he’ll start needing more. But I’ve tried giving him cereal in the mornings and he hates it. he’d rather nurse. So that’s what we’re doing. blargh mcslargh.

Writing Update: Ugh. Not doing enough of that but I’m working on a few things still. Everything just goes so much slower when I don’t have a dedicated time to do it in. I still just have so many ideas, and they just keep piling up. I’ll get to them all, eventually!!! I also think as soon as I get a little money I’m just going to mail the swag out to people without hte cool stickers and I’ll just do stickers later. I’m so upset about it all. don’t get me started. my poor website. It’s hanging on, but I need to do more. more. moooooore.

blah.

Me update: I’m a spoiled rotten loved brat. That’s about all i can really say. My birthday is this month and I know that I’ve already gotten my present (this computer) so I’m just hoping for a nice dinner somewhere and maybe, just maybe, some sexy time.

I can’t believe it’s going n a year and a half with NO SEX. That’s the longest EVAR. It’s weird and it sucks. lol. I guess my sex drive has returned along with my period, so that’s a good thing. I actually think about masturbation. blah. i’m a nut.

Well I gotta go. I’m getting better at noting. Have you noticed? Ok, so I dont’ note everyone I’m reading, sometimes I forget. But I’m trying. I LOVES YOUS GUYS!!!!!

You are super mom, I think you are doing a wonderful job parenting all your children, and all the challenages that come with it- always reigning supreme. I highly admire you. 🙂

I think you’re pretty awesome. And don’t worry about what others think about Nugget still nursing (I keep forgetting what his actual name is, so when I was looking at his pictures and Gabe said it was Millie, I was like- No, that’s… erm… Nugget! So now he calls Millie ‘nugget’. I think it’s the creamy skin and the curls. LOL Anyways, we were 95% sole BF when Gabe was a year. It worked for us.

You do whatever works for you and Nugget, and let the rest of the world figure out their OWN stuff… not your problem. He’ll go sole-on food when he’s ready, and your milk is STILL ENOUGH for 100% nutrition. Don’t let anyone try to convince you anything contrary. And I feel you on the writing thing… I have tons of ideas, and no time… never any enough time… lol.

It really sounds like that medication is helping leveling Jon’s moods. Really glad you are seeing some positive results. Nugget is adorable. I love his hair, cutest hair ever. Glad you got a new laptop 🙂 They are very handy!

He’ll eat plenty when you are both good and ready for it.

I don’t remember to note much, but I read you. Well done on the meltdown handling. Sigh wish someone helped me when I was a kid.

There was a woman years ago in PA who was still nursing her son when he was almost 5 years old. It was weird to see this kid just climb into her lap in public, stick his head up inside her shirt and nurse. I think that was a bit too old to be doing that, but 8 months is still just a baby.

I don’t think you need to apologize for nursing your kid at 8 months when there are mothers out there nursing their 5 year olds! 😀 haha

Glad he’s doing better xxxxx

Cereal has no nutritional value other than iron. I completely skipped it with Anaya as she got iron from other sources. Your milk changes with your son as he grows. As long as you’re eating well, so is he. Let him nurse if that’s what he wants. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about continuing to nurse at his age. He’s only 8 months old! Breastfeeding is one of the best gifts you can give him!

That’s so cute! I’m glad the sex drive has returned too yay!
