Reverse Machine Gun Fire
Bang bang.
* Friday: Oh hell. I totally forgot what my Friday was like. I know we went shopping and I did some things, but it’s too far back. I have no short term memory. It’s scary sometimes. Oh well
*Saturday: I cleaned and marinated and we grilled til sundown (made meals to last for days and KICK ASS turkey burgers! I have a great new recipe, I’ll share it later). Baboo and I were both in serious pain afterwards. I think we got a good workout, running in and out, standing around a lot. Either that or we’re really freakin old and crochety!!!
*Sunday: The first half of the day was lovely. Played some video games, lounged. But then it was time to go see the fireworks. We went to Baboo’s parents house FIRST. That was actually nice. We had some pizza and talked. I brought up the fact that we want to get a second dog. Puppy needs a friend and everyone in the house wants a big dog. After that we drove to Marina Del Ray. We were over an hour early… and the place was already packed. It was a free event, so that makes sense.
*We ended up paying 15 bucks to park.
*We found a place to sit. The boys went to terrible porta potties (Jonathon said it was like a rainbow of poop inside, gross!!!!). I held my pee. HA!
*After about 30 minutes we realized that we wouldn’t be able to see much of the display from where we were, so we got up and moved and ended up standing near the boat docking area whatever place.
*The only really great thing about the show is that they started pretty much on time. The fireworks were pretty (Jacob really liked them), but nothing to really go nuts over. It was overcast and there was a lot of smoke, so many of them were muted or swallowed up. I was disappointed in all the grown folks who didn’t care to move so that smaller people could see. Other times I’ve been to stuff like this, the adults sorta look around for little ones and make room for them to see. Not so much. People are so selfish and rude.
*Anyway, there were hundreds of people there… so the exodus out was a damn mess.
1. We had to walk in a trail of idiots back down to the parking structure. People who parked in the lots near the park were so fucked. They couldn’t get out of the lots to save their lives because mobs of people were walking down the street right in their way. Ooops!
2. We finally get to the car, and thank GOODNESS Baboo was driving because he backed us up and into the flow… which promptly STOPPED as soon as we were in it.
3. Yes, you guessed it, we were stuck in the parking structure for about 40 minutes. I’m not sure why, but if Baboo hadn’t had us in the flow of moving cars, we’d have been stuck longer because NOBODY was letting anyone out once we started moving. People were honking their horns and being dicks, but seriously… there was nothing anybody could do about it.
4. Some little bitchy ass bitches did crazy driving and got in front of us. I wanted to flatten their tires. bitchy asses.
5. We finally got out and had to fight some traffic and got home around 10:30
6. We will not be doing that again.
7. But we will get milkshakes (our July 4th tradition, we got them before we headed to the marina)
ugh.
*Monday: Oh what a lovely day. I played a bunch of Dragon Age, finally making it past the part I had stopped on previously. It was really fun and I want to play some more! I also did laundry, cleaned out our little wading pool, and served delicious grilled pork chops, rice, and salad for dinner. I felt accomplished!
*Today: I’m tired, but not as much as I thought. I woke up around 2 am with my hands autonomously caressing Baboo’s package. I suppose I was sleep sexin him up. lol. So I decided to finish the job and hopped on top of him. It was lovely. *le sigh* Why can’t we have that every night? Or like… every other night. ha ha. I rarely find him in such a prime position, already aroused. So … yeah…
Anyhow, I feel alright. I’m gonna get my coffee and stare at some "work like" screens for a bit. I have no idea what work I really have to do, so yeah…
*Music Review*
I listened to the somewhat new Eminem CD this morning, well half of it. That crap is amazing. lol… how can crap be amazing? I dunno. but it is. It’s not even crap, that’s just how it came out of my brain. I really like it. If you even remotely like him, you should try to get your hands on it. If you DON’T like him, try to listen to some of it anyway. it’s got this different more mature vibe about it. I dunno. I cried a little one one part… ON THE TRAIN. yep, that’s how much it hit me.
Good stuff yo.
word.
Anyway, I guess that’s it for now. I have to catch up on favs. I totally slacked this weekend!
I have some other things to talk about later.

I usually like Eminem and I love his new song “not afraid” it’s awesome. Sorry it was so crowded, I hate places like that!! I’m glad you got out alive!!

I have had the new CD in my purse for a week now and havent even cracked it open….maybe I should. Sorry the after glow of the fireworks show sucked. However, I am glad you got some good video game time in.

Don’t you get the feeling that 90% of the songs on the album are exactly the same? I got tired of it quickly. Oh and we could all do without him singing.

i want to get his cd.. im glad your kids enjoyed the fireworks!! 🙂 i hate trying to leave places like that! i so want to come to dinner at your house! haha

I love Eminem, he’s the bombshiz. I refuse to go to local fireworks anymore because of the whole parking debacle. At least city fireworks. Town fireworks are fine because you can just walk there and home. I’m glad you got more sex, that’s like twice in two weeks right? Hey, how did that chicken turn out, that shit you marinated in lime or something?

I want that recipe for the turkey burgers! Can I do them on the stovetop? We can’t grill in the apt. Or maybe I should get a George Foreman…yeah! I love Eminem. Just from the new stuff I’ve heard on the radio, he sounds just as intense but in a grown up kind of way.

Yeah. Heard a couple of his songs so far. Especially I’m Not Afraid. Phillip down loaded it on the computer, and I could also relate as well. Acknowledges the rest of the entry.

You’re the second entry I read this morning who said Eminem’s new cd is good…I’ll have to pick it up.

I bought the CD on Saturday and I looooove it. It’s been playing nonstop in my car. I was in a parking lot full of cars also for fireworks. I don’t think I would have lasted the 45 minutes tho. Thank god, I was only in line for 10 minutes or so. My brother in law went out the back way and the car line was not that bad. There were also police helping with the traffic moving along. Not too bad.

And people wonder why I don’t go to Mardi Gras anymore. I have too much of *that* kind of stuff right there. Awww, dude… I got goosebumps when I heard “Not Afraid”. I SO want that CD!

Thanks for the note. You are wise for making your lunches in advance. It just gets crazy when they have fireworks. That’s too bad people weren’t making sure the kids could see. It’s ridiculous that you had to pay $15 for parking, ouch! I’m not really into the new Eminem yet, but I have just heard the one song that is getting the most playright now.
