Really Scary!

Ok, so here I am, coasting along the freeway, when I notice one of those freeway signs. Ya know the ones with the lights that tell you if it’s windy or if theres some special road condition that you should be aware of. There were two giant trucks kinda blocking the sign, so I squint to see what it says when they pass.

Do…Not… Pick…

What the hell? Do not pick what? When the truck finally moves and I can see the writing underneath it, I see…

Up… Hitchhikers.

Do not pick up hitchhikers…. do not pick up hithchhikers??? WHAT THE HELL???!!!!

What is going on that I don’t know about. I mean, I don’t wannt seem like I’m paranoid about the whole situation with the war and everything, because I actually feel pretty secure. But the fact that they feel the need to warn people against picking up hitchhikers all of a sudden concerns me. I haven’t heard anything on the news about any kind of threat in that area. But what does that matter. It’s not as if they tell us anything until after the fact. Regardless, it just seemed really scary. I wonder if it’s a widespread thing or if it’s just some evil cruel joke meant to make my head swim with ugly hallucinations and nightmares…

grrrrr.

I think it’s normal.. I was driving up north somewhere — I don’t know which state I was in — on my way to Rhode Island, and there was a sign that said something like – State Penetentray (I have no idea how to spell that word) near, DO NOT PICK UP HITCH HIKERS.. ” Something like that.. anyhow.. that was kind of creepy, cause I was driving at night.. alone.. It’s a strange, sad world we
