is it over yet?
A few things:
*I wish I had stayed home today. I’m already getting a headache and everything at work is annoying. and I’ve only been here 20 minutes.
*My dad went in for a back surgery yesterday. It went well and he’s doing fine in recovery. I need to call. I might go visit today, but maybe tomorrow if he’s staying in the hospital til Saturday. We’ll see..
*Freakin February already?! Eep!
*My children were up at 5 am this morning (they usually wake up at 6 or so) taking showers and being generally "awake". Very odd. I have bad feelings about today. I got a call from Jonathon’s teacher about him not doing his math right (he doesn’t show his work, but gets most of the problems right in his head. I don’t get why that is bad, but I guess "mental math" is bad,) and there is a big assessment test in a few weeks. They have a help group at recess that he has been invited to, but he doesn’t want to go (like that’s odd. What kid wants to spend their recess doing math?! jeesh). I agree, he does need to get as much help as he can, so I told him to start going, but does that really warrant a call home? Maybe. I’m not mad about the call, it’s whatever. I just don’t understand their methods. They won’t tell me anything if he’s in trouble or doing bad things, but they’ll call to tell me ot make him go get math help. I’d like calls for both if that’s what they want to do. WHATEVER. I’m not mad about it.
*I gotta go jump in this shit pile of work. I’m not amused.
Loveyoupeople! *muah!*
Oh yeah, I have a ticker. Look at that!

The whole point of showing your work is so they know that he’s not using a calculator or having you do his homework for him. God bless him for being able to do it in his head. I still need to double check my addition with the calc on my phone because I’m so god awful in math.
