I talk about food a lot! *blorp*
Blessed Thurfriday!!! *squeeze*
I am in SUCH DIRE NEED of my weekend. However, not much of it will be spent laying around with my lovely P4 (which I won’t be able to let my kids watch me play for a bit because of questionable mature content. ha ha)…
Tomorrow I have to go to the court and hopefully figure out my next step in the divorce.
Then I go home and do butt-tons of laundry.
Around 3 I have to go to the school and pick up my boys and head out to my dads.
6:00 is the dinner for Mothers Day. I went last year and it had good food. Grilled chicken breasts, side dishes, and really yummy desserts. My dad is in the band that will be playing and last year they performed a song that he wrote for moms. Heh. He insisted that I go this year because I’m a mom and I need to be treated special since I am doing it alone and so he’s gonna pay for my gas and my brother Joseph is gonna watch my boys (for freeee…!!!). We will spend the night there.
I’ll probably leave around 11 on Saturday. I’m not sure if I’ll go shopping right away, b ut I plan on getting my pots and pans, headphones and possibly my dishes on Saturday. Baboo said he’d come by and I’ll probably have some Netflix movies, so we’ll probably watch them (I’m getting two Ghost in the Shell flicks) and lounge around a lot. I might get to play my game if he gets into the computer enough to not care what I’m doing or whats on tv. ha ha! If not, I’ll probably crochet because I have cute baby stuff to make for special mommies I know *wink wink*. I also plan on making my ghirardelli (spelling?) turtle brownies for my Mothers Day Sundaes. I bought some hot fudge and whipped cream and sliced almonds last night… mmmm!!!! Since I couldn’t find waffle bowls, I figure a brownie will do just fine.
No, it’s not diet friendly, but see if I care!
I also got a great deal on some ribeye steaks (saved over 30 bucks on two packs, who can beat that?!).
oh oh! and last night, my Kung Pao chicken experiment was pretty successful. It’s not like Panda, but it was good in it’s own right. I got some green onions (which I’ve discovered I’m allergic to! The minute I eat them my nose goes crazy and my eyes start to water… boo! I shall still eat them because I love them!) and put it all together in olive oil (like half a teaspoon, really no ta lot of oil) with the chicken and some seasonings (including ginger) and then sauteed that till it was cooked. I added like… maybe a 1.5 tablespoons of soy sauce (it was a big pan)… I added 2 cups of water (which was a lot) and thickened it with cornstarch. I then added probably 2 big tablespoons of the panda express kung pao sauce and a good amount of red pepper sauce. It came out pretty darn good!
Baboo is leaving on Sunday and I will probably spend that day playing my video game and cuddling with my kids. We might play a card game or two also.
Oh crap, some big hooplah is going down. So my little "foodie" entry will have to wait…. I didn’t even talk about what else I’m making myself for Mothers Day Dinner!
You make me hungry with the food talk. lol.

LOL. 🙂 I hear you with not letting your kids see what you are playing. My son can’t watch 99% of what we play, Ha! Now I’m hungry.
