Home… baby looming…

Well alrighty then! If you missed my Facebook or whatever, here’s the run down:

I do have pre eclampsia. It is mild right now and I am stable enough to be home (which is where I am, wheee!)

They want the baby to have a few more days to mature. If I didn’t have diabetes, they’d have induced me today, but diabetes can slow down the maturation of the lungs so they want to wait until I’m 37 weeks along.

That will happen on Wednesday.

So guess what’s happening then? Induction.

At 6:30 PM, July 18, I will be induced to have my Nugget baby. Now, I don’t know how fast or slow that process will be. He could come on the 19th if it takes a long time. Whatever the case, I know my babies birthday ha ha!

Well, barring any unforseen idiocy like Nugget coming on his own, my pre eclampsia ramping up and giving me bad symptoms, or something like that.

I am on bedrest, so no cooking and cleaning and shopping for me. My house is NOT where I want it to be. My mother in law is going to be coming to baby sit me tomorrow (ha!) so she will probably help me clean a bit. I guess that’s ok, but I feel bad that i didn’t get around to it myself.

As far as my big boys,I’m still in a quandry. My parents are going out of town for a conference, my sister who watches them is going to a camp, and everyone else works. My mother in law, while able to come during th eday, probably can’t swing being here at night (I don’t know why, but that’s the vibe I’m getting). That leaves me one final option of my aunt who lives about an hour and a half away. She has already asked if she can be of help, so chances are that she will take them.

The problem is actually getting them to her. I can’t make that long drive right now and she may not want to drive all the way out here. My cousin MAY volunteer to pick them up and such and maybe I’ll have to give them gas money. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens when  she gets back to me.

Overall, I am glad to know what is happening. I am sad my body is being such a shit fest, but hopefully if I ever get pregnant again, I’ll be in better health and this won’t be happening to me. I am sad that my step mother is going to be gone. She can be downright frustrating at times, but I love her and she’s been there for the births of both of my sons. I wanted her there, but she’ll be gone. I don’t even know when they are coming back to be honest. blaaaaaah.

Yes, my baby shower that was supposed to happen today is cancelled, but we will reschedule it. I think I’ll call over there in a bit and talk to her about it.

so there ya go

Oh yeah, I have a ticker. Look at that!

*hugs you lots* and why can’t your dippy husband help out more? like driving them there? you never mention him doing anything during this.

Babe when you get induced it’s like going into labor. You don’t have a clue how long it’s going to take. But baby WILL COME! LOL. <3 <3 <3

So glad you got to go home. It’s so much better being able to prepare yourself for the induction rather than it just being thrown on you like it ALMOST was today. I agree with above noters – your hubby needs to help more… i.e. cleaning and driving the boys where they need to be. Husbands are lame-o’s though. SOOO wish I could be there to help out!
