Speaking of stupid, I’m gonna talk about something I try to refrain from in my diary. It’s political. I try to stay away from politics here, mainly because I don’t like debating in this forum. It is always messy and emotional and makes my face hot, and I don’t like it most of the time.

There are days when I’m fiesty and RAWR and a good little fight is just what i need for my burning blood as it courses through my veins… but most of the time i like to be silly and crazy and maybe a bit ranty *wink* and generally get notes that are constructive in their criticism from people who care about me and want the best for me, even if I don’t agree, or notes that are awesome and silly back and don’t try to paint me as stupid and absent from the intelligent sect of society, which I am, because I can make this sentence go on for a lot longer than it should and it still looks good! (wow, that was a really horrible sentence)

damn it.

ANYWAY.

I am really disturbed by something I heard on the news last night and again this morning. (I will admit I haven’t done a lot of research into it, but the initial shock of what I do know is enough to prompt me to start ranting about it)

This whole thing with the White House "blog" or webpage or whatever asking for people to report emails or information online that is against their healthcare plan that might need to be investigated.

what the hell is that bullshit?

fuck you!

I should be able to send out an email that says the healthcare plan is a bunch of hooey and here’s why I think this way, regardless of what the reasons are… even if it’s stupid and makes no sense and has no basis in reality if I fucking want to and NOT HAVE TO WORRY I MIGHT GET REPORTED TO THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT.

Are you kidding me?!

You can’t be serious that something like that is happening right now and it is "ok".

IT’S NOT OK.

And it scares the holy crap out of me.

Not that I think anyone is going to get hurt if they get reported or any such nonsense, but that the govt is asking for "snitches" and "spies" to "report" free fucking speech.

Seriously, if they want to know what the opposition is saying, they can do their own damn research and have good enough information to stand up to all the attacks. They should be able to formulate their strategy to get the correct and accurate information to the masses in a way that will be sound and easy to understand and also stomp out the idiots without too much effort.

And if they can’t do that, maybe they need to re-think what they are saying and trying to push off on us like we are blind stupid sheep who don’t have minds of our own and the ability to use them and SPEAK THEM FREELY.

To blatantly ask for something like that is just appalling to me.

It makes me want to vomit.

I like to debate and talk about political things in person. It is awesome to exchange ideas and opinions and expand my knowledge.
