and that happened…
things:
* Went to the Community Day (like a homeschool kids day with a teacher and friends) and sat in the "parents lounge" … and didn’t say a word. I was okay with just listening like a creepy eavesdropper. I was pretty busy chasing the baby around. They have a huge bean bag. I want one. it’s so comfy…
*My husband is doing graveyard and it sucks. As much as he drives me nuts I don’t like sleeping in the bed alone.
* My brother officially lives with me again. He’s jammed in the room with Jonathon and things seem to be okay. I hope it lasts. I hope he gets this job with Time Warner that he did an interview for. They should be calling him back soon. It would be good for him to have steady work and a savings built up so he can move out on his own. He’ll be turning 20 in a few days!
*God I gotta write a note about my Nugget. He’s just a little ham, and a smart cookie. and a sweetie pie. and all sorts of other food related goodness. I love him so. He can do so many signs, but only when he wants to. He follows directions, but only when he wants to. He likes to dance and spin in circles and I swear I hear him saying words, but he doesn’t repeat them. I’ve heard him say no, yeah, three, cat, night night, and uh oh. He has this new face i hope I get a picture of, where he sucks in his mouth in a little ‘o’ and it’s SO CUTE. He also scrunches up his nose, which we call the "boonchy" face. He is growing his 5th tooth and loves to steal my water bottle (and pour half of it on the floor). He likes spicy food and doesn’t shy from veggies. He still hasn’t had cows milk yet. I keep saying I’m going to do it, then I don’t. He nurses a lot still. I know it needs to end. I don’t make half as much milk as I used to… and he needs the nutrients. blah blah blah I’ll DO IT. He has a silly sense of humor, like he will bang something on the wall or throw it and crack up laughing. He is finally getting interested in rolling cars and trucks. He likes things that have doors and compartments he can open and close and put things in. He chases bubbles to pop them. He sleeps in his bed about 5 hours a night, if I’m lucky, all of which I use to write (which I should be doing right now but I can’t find my external drive and I don’t feel like searching the house. blaaaaa) he ADORES my brother. he usually sticks to me like glue, but ever since he moved back he’s been in the room with him playing. It’s really cute. I will say "go find uncle" and he will run away to find him. Adorable! so many things! Oh and he loves to hum and sing while nursing and I know I wrote about it, but he gets so content and happy and hums little happy songs and it makes ME so happy and therefore I’m just not sure when I’ll quit nursing. Maybe 18 months… but not sooner. Unless he wants to stop. AWWW IT’S MAKING ME SAD. this is a big ass paragraph yo.
I could talk about my baby boo forever.
*I’m a bad mom and forgot about Jacobs Back to School Night. Oops. I sorta wanted to meet his male teacher too. I think he’ll do really well with a man leading the way. Oh well. I’ll have to make sure to go to the next even they have there. And conferences will be coming up soon. I’m sure I’ll hear how he’s really smart but talks too much.
Ya know, I was one of the really good kids in school. I got really good grades, I never got in trouble… and I was under some STRANGE delusion that my children would be just like me. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
OH, THAT’S RICH.
and spicy.
I guess I should go look or my hard drive. I gotta get some stuff ready for some volunteer readers to help me with.
I loves yous guys.

Well life seems good my long lost pal. It’s definitely good to hear that.

Nug is adorable. I love looking at his pictures.

I was hoping the same thing. I don’t know why it surprises me still that they act different with each teacher, but it does. That long-ass paragraph makes me want to nibble on your Nugget. I miss snuggling the wee ones.

Aww… he does sound adorable. I remember boonchy face! I would sign “ooohh!” when they did it. I can read back and see Bry’s development, especially in here. It is a precious resource, this old OD, because man..it is so easy to forgot things about the babiness…and then they’re 18 and doing great and..and and…. By contrast, I was a horrible high school student, and dropped out beforeI was a semester into sophmore year. I did some alternative school thing, but there, I mostly smoked pot and ate nachos. Bryan is a star student and so focused and even Sasha this year is doing his thing. Funny how that works.

Maybe Nugget will be like you in school 🙂 There’s still hope! Ah I have no doubt you’ll get him on cows milk. Even a couple of ounces a day to get him used to it is a good start. I find babies have a hard time transitioning from one formula to another or from formula to milk, hopefully it’s easier for Nugget since he was breast fed.
Warning Comment
I say keep breast feeding until your kid decides to stop or you can’t produce any more milk. I’ve heard of women breast feeding until their kid turned 2 and I see nothing wrong with that. Makes em smart 🙂
Warning Comment
Keep up the breastfeeding for at least 6 more months and then you can ween him off with regular milk. Its healthier that way.

Nugget sounds like such an adorable ham. Funny too, anytime you mention Elias on fb, I have to think about who that is, because he’ll always be Nugget to me!

Im a bad mom, I hate doing the meet the teacher thing… I only go when the kids ask…even if I know about it. and how come in the tv shows the single mom always meets a single hot teacher? Not so much in real life.
