Update
Larry had his valve replacement surgery, the surgeon said that it was the worst he had seen at 25% function. So much for the reassuring talk before the surgery. He is doing better but his heart still isn’t pacing itself on it’s own yet. He is hooked up to an external assist, at least until Tomorrow and then we will see what they are planning, he is still in ICU until this is worked out.
I have the kids school planned out until the end of August our first day of school is tomorrow. We have to get into a routine before I start back on the 23rd. I made whole grain banana waffles for their breakfast and we are having grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with cantaloupe for lunch, have no idea what’s for dinner yet. I have the kitchen almost cleaned up as is the dining room table where we do school. That will be done before I go to bed tonight, so that tomorrow morning we are ready to start.
I bought a clock for the dining room and the boys an alarm clock for their room, in the hopes of keeping us on track. I still need to write out a plan of the day for tomorrow. I usually do an orientation type day but we didn’t get to it this year, so I have to do that first thing tomorrow. I should make up a short syllabus and make them sign it so there are no arguments later about what the rules are.
I’m almost ready to go back to college as well, it is not good for me to be home for too long without a schedule I think. I have to call later in the week about the application if sent in for an internship at our rape crisis center. I’m waiting on my financial aid check and then I can get my books this week and order my macbook…..can’t wait. I blew up yesterday at the fact I had cleaned off my desk and everyone kept sitting at it and leaving their junk and trash on it.
Why does this mess up all the time? I hate it when this happens. Ok, that’s all for now, maybe I will post photos after tomorrow of their first day of school.
good luck!

Good luck on getting the internship! You really have a lot on your plate right now. I hope the transition of getting back in a routine goes well. 🙂
