Brief Update

So I had Tommy make an appointment with Dr. Rao at Cleveland Clinic. I took Noah down to see her today. I gave her the brief reason of why we were there, she talked to Noah and immediately said she understood him and if there was a problem it would be very minor. So she evaluated him and quickly realized it is the way he pronounces "r" words….she said that he didn’t need speech therapy at this time and that if we worked with him at home for 5 minutes a day, with the r sound he would improve but that he is obviously intelligent and that his problem is nothing I should worry about. Which makes us feel so much better in some ways but really hits home with how much Doug bullied me….there is no B.U.L.L.Y. in Ordained Lutheran Pastor…….nor does it fall under what Jesus said we should be doing. I’m still trying to decide if I should send a letter. Noah practiced his r’s a bit on the way home and it was amazing how much better he sounded…so in a few months he will be much clearer and he will be more comfortable. Which is all that truly is important.

It’s good the therapist told you how to help Noah at home rather than having to bring him for unnecessary appointments. I had a lisp when I was little. My siblings cured me by bringing it to my attention, not in the most pleasant way, either. lol They teased me until I stopped. Take care, 😉
