Almost the end of the first week of 2011

 
 
So, we did schoolwork this week, it was a very rough week, after almost 3 weeks off for xmas break. But we did survive. Hopefully next week will be better. They had xbox withdrawal but at least they seem to be getting into a bit more of independent learning, so no xbox during the week is a good thing.
 
We sat down with a finance guy about getting the basement fixed~ it leaks and smells horrid. It will cost us~ $12,000 roughly but we will have a lifetime transferable guarantee, and they do great work, I really need my basement to be dry and not smelly. That will be our home improvement for this year and maybe next. But to e able to move the xbox and the kids toys to the basement will be great, a bit more living space and a place for the boys to hang out with their friends, out of my hair. We are also putting in an ezbreathe system that is supposed to help clean the air in the whole house, I’m hoping that it will help with the husband’s emphysema, since it is set off by allergies and other airborne things.
 
I start back to classes next week, but only on Tuesday and Thursdays, I’m so hoping that at least the first 2 weeks will be easy. I’m still trying to read through that depressing book, I’m half way through it. It has redeemed itself at times but is still a tough read. I’m hoping I can finish it by next week.
 
We put new tires on the van yesterday, so it will be safe for me to drive through the snowstorms I’m sure to get, until March or so. I have bills to pay and books to order but have to wait for my financial aid check to clear, I wish they would use direct deposit like the community college does, it is so much faster. I will probably have to get my books on tuesday, trying to figure out how when my classes are so close together.
 
I have a headache and can’t wait until 9pm so I can go crawl in bed and watch ncis for a bit. The husband likes that show, so I started watching it, it is ok, and I do like Mark Harmon’s role in it.
 
I started back up on project 365, so far I’m doing ok, but have to use my cell phone sometimes for the photos, and they don’t upload the right way.
 
I need to upload photos to walgreens so I can start scrapbooking those photos for the kids schooling, I don’t want to be swamped this summer with that project.
