It takes a leader to steer the course.

Financial ruin isnt the half of it.
It’s gone down under
and there are many who don’t know how to swim.
We lost the DJ, the captain of our ship 2 weeks ago
and although there are some floaters
our ‘team’ is no longer. the ship has sunk.

I’ve found a lifeboat amongst all the wreckage.
and although it pains me to leave my team to fend for their own,
They’ll be ok and I’ve found a new captain, one that is still thriving
and growing his team.
I’ll miss the people but not the organization.

My love and I are also in the midst of an iceberg.
Her name is Jennifer.
I knew someone like her would come along
I thought i was doing my job as the 1st mate
He is trying to bring another partner on board.
I’ve been drinking. I don’t want to talk about it.
So to you Jennifer / capricorn121960@hotmail.com
He’s married, with child and a girlfriend on the side.
Where do you see yourself fitting in on this team?

I spoke to my ex tonight.
The one who got away, the one who broke my heart.
The conversation was one sided and cold
not a whole lot to talk about, just a series of open ended questions
that neither of us wanted to answer.
He’s back in our old town, closer to family.
And although I want to wish him luck
I’d like an explanation first.

The men that have come in and out of my life…
(shakes head)
