Promise
Promise now or forever hold your peace,
Could you accept a ticking time bomb?
Can you speak the truth but live in lies?
How I wish what I ask could be conveyed,
I can put my life on hold,
I will cut my words and write nevermore,
I can open my heart and destroy its door,
so you can enter and leave as you please.
But one thing I do ask in return,
and this is something you must promise me,
when you love me, no matter how long that may be,
a day, an instant, a moment, a whisper,
give your all to that love you so proclaim,
let me feel your feelings wrap around mine,
let our thoughts and minds intertwine,
let us become one if only for that moment,
promise me this, and there will be no promise,
this poet wont keep.

“hyphy” is an expression people hear in the bay area a.k.a yay area use. sorta the effects you get from getting off Exstacy. you know how people get crunk? well the bay get’s hyphy. yea i know weird…and it’s overrated. listen to some E-40 songs or something. does this piece reflect a past relationship or a current one? or just thoughts?
