My Comforts and Discomforts

What makes you comfortable?

I have always pretty much been an indoor person. I like to be sheltered from wind, dirt, bugs, weather, and other hassles and discomforts of the outdoors. It’s also easier to stay clean indoors, and I’m very paranoid about getting dirty.  Being indoors also provides me more opportunities for technology, which I can’t live without. I may be an indoor person, but there are still many things unrelated to being indoors or outdoors that make me uncomfortable.

I put a high priority on comfort in clothing. I am very uncomfortable in tight or fancy clothing, or ones that expose my body. Exposing more than head, arms, and legs is improper. That’s why I like to be indoors, wearing T-shirts and shorts. Pajamas are also comfortable, especially in bed.

I often read in bed where it’s comfortable. Sitting in front of a computer is comfortable to me, too, because I enjoy it. I’m also more comfortable when I’m alone, because then I have the freedom to do anything without fear of offending others, making people hate me, or making a fool of myself. I cannot stand the spotlight, which makes me nervous, ashamed, and embarrassed.

I’m also more comfortable when I’m away from food and dirty things. I have a weak stomach, and do not like to eat. Loud and bangy sounds give me headaches and discomfort to my ears.

The comfortable things are usually healthier, but considered rude in public. What makes me most comfortable is being alone and indoors in comfortable clothing, surrounded by technology and listening to soft, slow, and smooth music.
