Message to the World

If you could write an entry the whole world would read, what would it say?

My main reason for starting an online journal was to write essays on public issues though once in awhile I have included entries about my life.  Those are often to serve as examples for what I write about in the essays.  Most of my entries are messages to the whole world, which I will sum up here.

  1. We need to look deeper than the surface and accept harmless differences.  Personality is the most important, and should take priority over the other traits: gender, race, creed, abilities, age, other physical traits, and social class.
  2. In order to keep things running smoothly, people need to cooperate and be nice to one another.  Nobody is the best person in the world.
  3. We need to judge fairly and not play favorites, even if the party with the mistake are friends and relatives.  Life itself is subjective, so we shouldn’t exclude or put down those who harmlessly different.
  4. Plan ahead.  It’s time to think about the future and not be materialistic.  Though our the results of our actions might temporarily not be pleasurable, they will be in the long run when the world becomes a better place.  If we follow our materialistic plans, we might temporarily be happy, but the unpleasant consequences would be worse.
  5. It’s time to turn around and promote more peace and decency to make the world a better place.  Refrain from violence, drugs, sexual activity, nasty things, and clowning.
  6. Always work on improving personalities.
