First Computer I Used
What was the first computer you ever used?
One evening, my parents asked, "Would you like a computer?" because one of their friends had one. Not knowing what a computer was, I said yes. A few days later, they took me to their friends’ house to check out their computer. I enjoyed it.
We soon bought our first computer, a Commodore 64. The keyboard was thick, and the monitor was pretty similar to a TV. Joysticks were almost always required, and the floppy drives were external and huge. Though the only function we knew was games, we enjoyed it. My maternal grandmother and I often played the games.
A few years later, we learned how to load programs from those 5" floppy disks. My little brother and I would then spend much time in front of the computer everyday until we got a Nintendo. While then, we used Apple computers at school, and also saw IBMs.
Over the past two decades, computers have varied and advanced very much. I now use my computer for many important tasks, such as school assignments.
