Modest Mouse Concert *pics*
"Well it would have been, could have been, worse than you would have ever known. Well the dashboard melted but we still had the radio."
Johnny and I went to the Modest Mouse concert on Friday night, and it was nothing short of a blast. Honestly, I’ve never had a better time at a concert. People were smoking joints in the crowd and passing them around, which kind of bugged me because that’s so far from my thing… But whatever, their choice not mine.
We got to the concert a few hours early. As we were pulling in, we could hear music playing. Originally, we thought that it was just recorded music playing before the show, but we eventually realized that it was Modest Mouse practicing! So, we ran up to the gate and peeked underneath and watched them practice for a little while. It ended up being so hot that they left the stage, but it was a really awesome experience to watch the band practice!
It took a while for the show to start. There was an interesting instrumental band that opened up, it was okay, but not really something that I like. They had too much background and prerecorded stuff that they played along with. I’m my opinion, it should have been all live, or mostly live for that matter. The band was called Talk Demonic, and it consisted of a girl who played the violin and a guy who played the drums.
Here are a few pictures from the show: (It’s all Modest Mouse)
We started off in the back, sitting on the grass. But we decided to make our way down to the floor. We ended up getting really close and were less than a few feet from the rail.
And of course a few pictures of me and Johnny before the show:
In other news, I’m on a medication called Effexor to help my rollercoaster of emotions. It seems to be helping quite a bit… Oh, and also, since moving out to Pennsylvania, I have lost 17 pounds! Yay for eating better, and the fact that this medication makes it so I have little to no appetite. I like! haha
