Bird Songs

Tell me, oh man of science, What is the message of a bird’s song?
What is the meaning of the wind as it whispers through the trees?
What is the sound of a heart falling in love?
What is the noise of a soul breaking?
Can your M-theory ever explain why some people fall in love?
Why others break up?
At what point is blue so dark that it becomes black?
And not just in hues, but in a person’s heart.

Tell me, if you can, enlightened ones, what is the purpose of a mosquito?
How much light has to be absent before we consider it to be dark outside?
Will we ever understand that there is no duality?
That all things are singular and that it is we that have seperated ourselves from them?

Tell me, lovers, how many heartbreaks can you suffer, before it is completely destroyed?
How many tears must you cry to mend your souls?

When you know these things, not in your head, but in your being,
Then you can tell me what is fact, what is fiction, what is Ultimate Truth.
