Absent Aquaintances

I miss the sing-song voice of the Sparrow,
Who gave me words of love.
And the Sweetest saintess,
Who gave me words of life.

I miss the joy of the Tree
Who gave me laughter.
And the Failure,
That seemed so much like me.

I miss the Senorita,
Who pushed me onwards.
And the Bell,
That tolled out worldly wisdom.

If you see any of them,
Tell them I am alive.
Tell them I am waiting.
Tell them I never stopped.
