I love my son

Dear Diary:

Today i put in for a $1200 loan against my 401k.  Low interest rate of 4.25% so I am only paying interest of $53.20 over the course of 24 months.   $25 will be deducted from my check biweekly to pay it back.  Not to bad.   I may or may not tell Davethe actual amount I’ve requested.  Because when I have extra money It always gets spent on him.  The past three years the my end of the year bonus has been spent on a flat screen TV he wanted, XBOX 360 with kinect and last year was a surround sound sound bar with wireless subwoofer.   I need things this time around.

Dave’s child support arrears are almost gone!  That means an extra $100 a week I would be getting from him.  But I am so far behind one things It will be a while before it makes a big difference.  Praying that ING approves my loan request so I can get ahead again and not feel so drowned and trapped.  Please Lord help me out here.

I took Noah to Urgent Care on Sunday evening.  He ha a yeast infection on his bottom.  He also had three pimple like dots on his thigh that grew through out the day and they hurt him to walk. Cellulitis.  Poor thing.  He barfed up the meds last night they taste so bad.  Spaghetti second time around IS NOT PRETTY!!!!!! I ended up putting his meds in extra sweetened pink lemonade this morning.  He drank the whole thing.   Follow up appt with his pediatrician is tomorrow afternoon.

I am still having a hard time getting Noah to stop hitting.  Its hard when he sees Daves girls always having their hands on each other.  They don’t listen so why should he?  Hes been hitting at the babysitters.  I just don’t know what to do.   I think its time to have another sit down chat with the girls because enough is enough.  Serious consequences are on their way.

Noah is a handful at times, but when hes not being rough hes so sweet and loving.  Noah is my world and my gift.  I love him more than life its self.  I don’t know what I would do without him.  I can’t wait to go home and give him a big hug and kiss.

Well until next time,

Love,
Me

When my daughter was about his age and had to take meds that tasted awful, I would let her numb her tongue with a popsicle first, then give them to her and she didn’t seem to taste it so much! before that, I’d try to sneak them into her cup of juice and it was like she had radar on those meds and she wouldn’t drink a sip of it, LOL! I do think another talk with the girls and some seriousconsequences would be appropriate if they continue hitting or setting a bad example for Noah. They need to learn that when they are at your home, they have to set a better example. When my niece and nephew get into their slapping phases (which was way worse when they first moved here), I sit them both down at different tables and have them write sentences until their hands cramp. Not even kidding. It has seriously curbed the hitting, but it still happens from time to time. Just make sure that whatever consequences you give, you and Dave are both united and consistent. If they think Dave will let them get away with it (not saying he would, but you know), they’ll keep doing it! ((BIG HUGS))

From the sounds of it, I don’t think I’d mention the loan if he’s just going to think he’s got more money to spend. Sounds like a very difficult situation with the girls but I would have to agree with the discipline. Hope Noah is all better! (:
