Divisions rage inside my mind. Searching through the facts, looking for that one truth, that one answer. The answer that isn’t there, the answer that will never be one. How long do you fight against yourself and the odds? Crossing the line from enough to too much, and backing up again. Forwards and backwards.
Dark and light. Hope and fear. Twisting together until they melt and become one. Shades of gray caressing and tempting.
Have you ever noticed how the slightest shifts can change something so completely? An inch to the right, a hint of anger in one’s voice, of desire, of hope, of despair. Some minuscule representation of a darker truth. Hidden to almost all but those with the gift of hearing. Hidden unless you know how to see. "I see you" A truth not used in our own dialect because of the national epidemic of blindness. Who truly sees? Who truly desires to see?
I see. I hear.
Heavy.

I think the internal battle is a life long process. Nothing remains constant though all strive for balance and stability. The waves of life wash away the shores we once knew to reveal new paths we never knew existed.

I can say with certainty, that although I do not truly see, I will continue to spend my life trying to see. Few people desire to see, for more often than not, they would see something other than that which they desire. Life isn’t about always getting what you want; it’s about discovering and pursuing what it is that you need. The only constant in the universe is change. The slightest thing can and often does have a dramatic effect, on the world…and on us. Hope is necessary and true. Fear is an obstruction, that keeps you from being able to see what is right in front of you. May you continue to find peace, love, truth and harmony, ~Daniel
