Updates and other things

Totally random things…

-I want a Wii.
-I just bought a 5 year supply of feminine hygiene products
-Pens won tonight…2 more games to go til the Stanley Cup Finals
-Work is driving me nuts but I still love it.
-I has a new Sidney Crosby jersey
-I haven’t bitten my fingernails in 3 weeks and they look nice now.
-I want a baby
-Damn James had to crank the heater up and it is effin hot in here.

I spent last weekend with Randi and Jaden.  We went to the farmers market and took Jaden to the beach.  He loved it.  I took a ton of pictures of my lil buddy.  He is getting so big.  I can’t believe he is 7 months old already.  Time really flies.  Here is a pic of me and him…

He loved the beach and kept trying to eat the sand.  Luckily he only managed to eat a few grains.  He loved the water.  He splashed his feet and he wanted to get down in it, but we wouldn’t let him.  He is definitely going to be a beach baby.  We are playing on taking a trip to Ocean City this summer.  Randi has never been and niether has Michael so we are all going to go together for a few days.  It should be fun.  I need to make some hotel reservations soon.  Just need to figure out when a good time for us all to take vacation and go.

Work is going well.  Very frustrating at times because we have a lot of stuff going on with the new store opening.  Although I am not going to the new store thank God.  But we have been helping out over there and also at other stores.  I spent 3 days last week going to Baltimore to help reset another store which is a pain in the ass and also makes for some long hours.  3 12-15 hour days in a row makes for a very tired and cranky Jenn.  But the $1350 paycheck I just got made a very happy Jenn.  Hopefully within the next month or so my financial situation will be much better and I can actually have all my bills paid off and start saving money.

Michael and I are still doing well.  He went to Kentucky last weekend for the Derby.  He goes every year.  He had a great time and it gave us time apart, which I think we both needed.  We just needed a break away from each other to do things on our own.  I spent the weekend with Randi, who I have been neglecting lately, and he spent the weekend with his family.  It was a nice change for the both of us.

Although he called me drunk off his ass from the Derby and he doesn’t remember anything he said to me…or so he says…but he told me that he thought we should get married.  I thought I misheard him but he said it 5 times and Randi heard it as well.  Only now he doesn’t want to talk about it, because he is Mr. I never say anything that I am really feeling.  But we do need to have a talk about our relationship and where it is headed.  I just don’t know how to bring it up with him and actually get him to open up and talk about things.

and this is the ring set that I want…and yes it is the only thing that is not hockey related.  I know I am weird, but I seriously want a hockey themed wedding.  It has been a chore trying to find hockey themed wedding stuff, but there are several websites out there that have hockey themed stuff.  Much more than I thought.  Now if only Sidney Crosby would be the groom lol…

The Pens have won their first 2 games against Philly.  2 more to go and it’s on to the Stanley Cup Finals.  I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am at the moment.  They are so close to the Cup that I can taste the Brandy already.  I don’t want to jinx them, but they have a shot at bringing Lord Stanley back to da Burgh.  I haven’t taken my Crosby jersey off except for work and showers since I got it.  And if I could find a way to wear it to work you best bet I would be.  This is the year for them.  I can feel it.

Michael is going to give me guitar lessons.  I finally convinced myself that it would be okay for him to do it.  I was apprehensive about it at first because that was my thing with Ryan.  But I realized that I can’t not do something because it was something that Ryan and I used to do.  I mean my whole obsession with hockey was because of Ryan and look where I am today.  I am a complete nut about the game…and I have even got Michael into it, although he likes the wrong team…stupid Capitals…but I feel this is going to be a big step for me.  Playing guitar is somethng that I enjoy and I haven’t played in years.  I want to play again and I need to practice and get back to where I used to be and if Michael can help me do it then I need to let him.  I need to continue to move on with my life and get completely over Ryan and for the most part I am.  There are a few things that still get to me, but they come few and far between.  Although I did freak out the other day when Michael and I were playing Guitar Hero 2.  My character has the Gibson Melody Maker and Michael was going to use the same guitar and I flipped out and told him he couldn’t because that was my guitar and only I could use it.  It’s my guitar because that was one of Ryan’s guitars.  He had a vintage 62 melody maker and it was his baby.  Now it’s my baby, although I haven’t touched it in almost 6 years and it’s in storage.  But on the other hand I was in a store a few weeks ago and STP Interstate Love Song came on the radio and I was singing along to it not even thinking about Ryan and wanting to cry…so see I am coming along quite nicely.  And while I still miss him and I always will, I can move on and start a future without him.  It hasn’t been an easy journey but I know I can do this.
