Work Shmerk…

I should be working. I am, however, not…at least, not at this moment. That’s obvious, isn’t it?

I am burning incense.

I am reading other people’s entries.

I am thinking, a lot.

I am wondering about how my Wife’s therapist appointment is going, and if she’s actually going to talk to her therapist today about the fact that she’s drowning in stress and anxiety. I am hoping beyond hope that she does. I am hoping beyond hope that she gets some help…TODAY.

I enjoyed a nice lunch out with friends, and C, today at our favorite joint in town, Gail’s. The first time I was told about it, by our friend JoJo, she said, "they have the BEST burgers, but don’t look at the floor!" It’s true! DO NOT LOOK AT THE FLOOR! DO NOT SET YOUR PURSE ON THE FLOOR! LOL I know, that sounds horrid, doesn’t it? To actually eat at a place where you’re afraid to put things on the floor (I carry a wallet in my front pocket, but our friends usually have purses on them and put them on the table or chair)…if you go there with friends and have 4 people, make sure to get a 6 topper if they have purses with them. Just warning you.

They gave me a great booklet on container gardening, and JoJo told us to go ahead and build one (it’s self watering and uses things we can recycle from around the house), and that once we did she’d bring us plants to put in it – she said, "I have tons of plants I can give you to start you off with." Now that is wonderful! So, now we just have to get to it. Hopefully we will. I’m actually hoping that C decides this is a great idea and takes it upon herself to start one up – she really, really needs a hobby to keep her motivated and busy – something she can see progress with, that isn’t a financial reward. There’s more to life than work.

Yesterday I had to go to the Endodontist, again, as my jaw was physically hurting to the touch on the edge, under where my tooth was worked on – it’s been almost a month. He looked at my original x-ray, and said, "Any intelligent person would say that this root canal probably needs to be re-done. I’m not a God, and while I do the best I can sometimes we miss some nerves, we might even miss a canal, and miss something that we don’t see in the x-ray, so let’s go in and redo this root canal." Okay…he did. While I was numbed up I could feel a few tiny tinges here and there – I’m hoping that’s a good sign, and that he did in fact just not go deep/wide enough, and that this will fix the problem. Bad side, more antibiotics, more pain this time than the last, and I have to do some work. This sucks, but I’ll muddle through. As well, he said if this doesn’t heal, it could be a broken tooth – those don’t show up on x-rays…let’s hope that is NOT the issue…as I have already paid for the crown – I’d hate to have wasted $1,000 on a crown I can’t use (they build them to your mouth now, with molds – sent out to a lab…didn’t realize I needed a root canal until after I had the crown prepped).

I’m terribly sick and tired of dealing with my teeth. Is it too much to ask to just have a couple weeks off of no stupid doctor/dentist appointments? Yes, I think it is.

I bought a touch tone phone – as we live in Hurricane Country, it’s good to have one. I do have some ugly one that someone gave me somewhere in the closet, but it’s one of those slim-line type phones, and I hate those. So, I bought this, and hooked it up today, and talked on it, and I love it…I am in love with a touch tone phone:

So, there you have it.

I have to get to work – got to get a quote for someone who wants 10 large sets and 3 small sets shipped to Australia…and pull the orders we got in. I did get in one order from someone who sounds like they want parts that have no obvious wear, but they bought USED. Used generally means there IS wear…people are ridiculous and cause more work than is necessary.

Did you know frequent incense use raises the rik of upper respiratory cancers? Don’t think I’d eat in a place where the floor was that bad.

Funky phone! RYN – you’re quite welcome for the memory! 🙂 Hope C’s session went ok and things are eased a little.

Gardening could be a great option for C. We do a lot of trial and error planting – taking seeds from store bought fruit/veg. My favorite so far is our avocado tree and our kiwano vines.

RYN: I’m not on antibodics, but I have been eating and drinking stuff with vitamins. I’m on decent meds too.. went back to work today, but I had to leave early. Wasn’t feeling that great. And yes.. I can’t believe my mom did that either! I hope that everything is going well with C and her appointments!

I hate teeth anymore. I can’t chew on my left side due to a weird filling the dentist did last time, and if I can get past the pain of that, my gums swell on the top from chewing. WTH?! I’ve dreamt about getting them out and having dentures, idk about you but I’d like that idea… Hopefully this is the last procedure you have to deal with though!

I love gardening. I use it as my “me” time where I can just clear my head and think. Plus it saves a ton on those gluten free fruits and veggies!! =)
