The Last of the Lump?

As my longtime readers will know, I have reported ad nauseam about the lump in my throat and this entry will be no exception!  Rooohaa.

Even though you guys have heard about it, you’ve never actually seen the affliction I’ve described so exhaustingly.  Because I like to share and I’m not afraid to reveal myself in the worst of ways, I thought I’d show you the lump in all its glory.  I took a picture every few days to show lump slowly decreasing in size.  I think the before and after is pretty stark.  

Note:  You’ll have to excuse my appearance in most of this shots.  I usually took the pictures right before I went to bed which would explain the bad hair.  And in the first shot, it was like the day after surgery so I was nice and plastered and shiny.  Enjoy!

I hope everyone has a better understanding of what I went through having that thing attached to my neck, how embarrassing it was and how it really hurt my already low self-esteem.  It’s like, really?  Really?  I already feel like crap about how I look and sound and act but let’s go ahead and throw on a goiter for good measure.  FML.

The lump is still there although clearly not as huge and obnoxious as it used to be.  Hopefully it will continue to go away completely in time.  And hopefully it will never come back.  I mean, that was the point of the awful surgery I had to endure a few months ago.  Here’s hoping all will turn out well!
