01)Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11? What subjects would they teach?
~*dies laughing* Now the idea of Tyler as a professor of anything other than "Dealing With Psychosis 101" is just amusing. As a teenage redcap, he’s not exactly filled with patience for things like school. (He’s barely making it through high school as it is.) Tyler is very intelligent, but he’s been around Amelia his entire life, which would give anyone an inferiority complex. Valentine, on the other hand, if she could make a successful deal with Ishmael and his daemonic masters to gain an older body, would be an excellent professor. Considering her beyond-genius I.Q. and vast collection of knowledge, as well as her patience, she’d be ideal for any philosophy or hard science classes. Her being utterly insane, well… That makes class fun!
02) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
~Ironic that Nathan ends up here. ^_^ Without a doubt, Nathan is the most attractive Rough Rider. It’s not just that he’s exceptionally handsome. Nathan has style and takes care of himself. While his wardrobe is a bit bland (white silk shirts, black leather pants), it’s classical and it really works for him. With his sleek black hair, dark blue eyes and California beach tan, set off by pearly white fangs, Nathan is certainly the Rough Riders’s eye candy.
03) 12 sends 8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
~*giggling* Now, while I know Black Robin is certainly fond of Coriline, I can’t imagine him taking a mission to find pink bunny printed thongs very calmly. Seriously, if there was anyone utterly unsuited to command, it’d be the butterfly pooka. She’d probably send Robin off to get her something lethally sugary if she wasn’t feeling well, or whimper for something covered in pink bunnies. Now you try to imagine a satyr highwayman picking pink bunny thongs out and see if YOU don’t laugh.
04) What is or would be 9’s favorite book?
~Machiavelli’s "The Prince," hands down. The only other two books that Amelia reads on a nigh-constant basis would be "The Art of War" and "The 48 Laws of Power."
05) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
~This is highly amusing. Now Nathan has always considered Valentine really creepy, and treads carefully around her. Valentine views Nathan as an overbearing boor with an overdone ego and no brain. That said, Nathan would never, ever, ever swear anything to Valentine without some serious daemon mind magick at work here. Valentine, for her part, has an excellent survival instinct. If staying quiet and taking orders from the jackass would keep her on the path a while longer, she’d do it.
06) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he share a studio apartment with 9 or with 10?
~So Kitty’s moved out of the pack haven? It wouldn’t be the first time. ^_^ Between Iris and Amelia, Kitty would go with Amelia. That may seem odd, considering how friendly and easy to get along with Iris is. She’s a great roommate simply because she’s so flexible. Amelia is a rigid, cast-iron bitch ice queen with distain for anything that’s not herself. However, Kitty recognizes the basic difference in situation between the two. It’ll be a subarctic day in Hell before Jonas, Ax and Betre would let -Iris- go live with a -vampire-. The bloodsucking danger aside, the banality vampires exude would have Iris flat on her back in less than five days. Amelia’s a psychopathic bitch, but she’s self-sufficient and Kitty’s shoe collection wouldn’t interest her in the slightest.
07) 2, 7 and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
~Nathan, Aeneas and Coriline… Together at dinner… Oy vey… Nathan, for one, is a vampire. Food for him would be the waitresses walking by the table. However, Cori tends to forget that some of her closest friends are undead, so she would have been the one pushing for all of them to have dinner. Aeneas is her best friend in the world, so she’d have dragged him away from his whiskey bottle and out to enjoy some fresh air. The location would be, without a doubt, Kearna’s restaurant. It’s the only place in Brandenburg where Nathan asking for seven bottles of red wine wouldn’t be blinked at. (Not to mention Kearna’s specialty desserts designed just for the needs of butterfly pooka.) Nathan and Aeneas would begin talking about fine liquors while Cori gulped down everything in sight. After they pried her off the ceiling and made her drink about nine cups of hot chocolate, Aeneas would cuddle her on his lap while she slept and he and Nathan would move on to talking about the lack of available women in the city.
08) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
~ …what in the name of all the gods is Jack THINKING? *laughing* For one, Jack would not only be facing a very confused Iris, but Ulryk, Jonas, Ax, Betre and Amelia, all rather aggravated that someone would pull a stunt like this. That said, Iris isn’t a bad fighter, but she’s a pacifist at heart. Ulryk would probably end up being her champion, and considering what I know of him, Jack’d be trounced. Soundly. (Gangrel against a werewolf? Oh please!)
09) If 1 stole 8’s most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?
~The only possession that Black Robin holds dear is his best friend Seraphie, who lives in Paradys, North Carolina. Now Slate might want to kidnap her for a little while, as a purple-haired satyr kinain can be a hell of a lot of fun; if anyone else really wanted to get to Black Robin through -things- they’d have a hard time. As a satyr, he doesn’t put much store on physical objects, and he’s been known to just abandon everything to start over.
10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
~ I keep getting pairs where romance novel titles would work. ^_^ Honestly, those two are horribly in love, but Aeneas has forced himself to consider Cori nothing more than a
little sister. Coriline is head over heels for the sidhe, but her own insecurities keep her from making a move. After all, in a city with women like Kearna, Honoria, Iris, Amelia and Kitty, who’d want the little perky blonde?
11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
~That would be completely simple. Slate and Thomas, both being Rough Riders, work together on anything that touches the pack. If it had to be something outside of the pack mentality, it would probably be on some odd artifact Thomas had been researching. Either that or Slate’s back to that "must get Thomas laid" quirk from about fifteen years ago.
12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
~ Aeneas can be a great guy as long as you can take the blunt observations. I’d definately keep him away from the booze, as he turns into a complete jackass when drunk. However, as a Fiona sidhe, he’d spend most of his time trying to get into my panties. Considering Aeneas’s musical skill and appearance, he’d come damn close to succeeding. (But I have a neko, so…*snerk*)
13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
~ There isn’t much that Jack could offer anyone, honestly. He’s wonderful with animals when they’re not half-killing themselves to escape him. I would certainly love to have him give me riding lessons. If there’s one thing Jack knows, it’s horses.
14) Does any one of your friends write or draw 11?
~ Ironically enough, no. I’ve had a random online friend draw a rather nice picture of Dia, Fenshae’s drawn Bug, (and made an adorable Bug plushie,) and other people have been interested in a variety of characters. Tyler seems to be one of the important sideline characters no one really remembers.
15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
~ This is where Nathan would surprise everyone. Despite the distain with which he treats Thomas, Nathan actually still has a grudge against Kitty. She turned him down when they met up in college and were both mortal. Nathan never quite got over that, and never has gotten over the way she constantly shoots him down. Thomas, on the other hand, is the little brother Nathan never had. Considering that Kitty would have Slate’s unwavering support, Nathan would take Thomas’s side just to even things out.
16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
~ "Ulryk!! HELP!!!"
17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
~ Hmmm… Black Robin. I’ve never had to come up with a song for him before. *laughing* However the new song by Finger Eleven, "Paralyzer" is just bloody perfect.
18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
~ It actually works that Coriline ends up out to dinner with all these random people. She’s a pooka, and horribly spontaneous, so she would randomly call Slate and ask him out to dinner. (Again, her memory isn’t so good; she really does forget they’re vampires half the time.) Slate, thinking Valentine needed some socialization, would drag her along, too. Valentine resents the paternal concern Slate has for her, but if she was trying to keep a low profile, she’d go along. Cori would get the last scallion pancake because Slate would be tired of hiding the food he’d been "eating," and Valentine point blank refuses to play human.
19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
~ "You really don’t get out very often, do you honey? You know… I can sneak you out of here, and I’ve got a Viper outside just begging for a woman’s hands on the wheel." (Note: the mentioned Viper is, naturally, Slate’s. Nathan always steals Slate’s car when he wants to impress a chick. Why on earth he’d be trying to pick up Iris of all people, I have no idea. Unless Jack bet him that he couldn’t do it…)
20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
~ Indecent exposure or solicitation. *facepalm*
21) What is 6’s secret?
~ Aeneas’s only real secret would have to be his feelings for Coriline. Everyone knows they’re best friends, and they generally laugh at his inability to get women. If anyone stopped and -thought- about that for more than four minutes, they’d realize that a Fiona sidhe with musical ability and a little charm should never sleep alone unless there’s something working to keep them from hooking up with one-night stands.
22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
~ Tyler: obviously Amelia’s told him to go to said destination. She’ll arrive at her own pace, thank you very much.
23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighbourhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
~ I’d really rather walk with Black Robin. While Aeneas is a sweetheart, he’s also so well-groomed that most people would assume he’s gay. Considering the number of sheer jerks in the world, that could lead to some trouble. Black Robin, however, has made a career out of being a criminal, and would probably know three-quarters of the people skulking in the shadows. Barring that, the satyr’s -quick- with a rapier.
24) 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4’s sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he/she is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3 , who gives them what they need to complete their quest.
~ That would definately be a reluctant partnership. Slate thinks Amelia is a horribly spoiled little girl with a good need for a spanking. Amelia thinks Slate should stop hunting for lost humanity by making a little "family" for him to play Daddy with
. That said, if Thomas DID have a sinister organization, it would be because he finally snapped. There’s even a possibility he’d end up enlisting Valentine for it. Tyler would volunteer to help, simply because Amelia’s one of the ones fighting against Thomas. However, both Thomas and Tyler know very well what it’s like to be sneered at and considered lesser through ability (or lack thereof.) So it’s quite possible that Tyler would spy for Thomas. Coriline being kidnapped would actually enrage both Slate and Amelia. In Slate’s eyes, NO ONE picks on Cori and gets away with it. For Amelia’s part, you don’t fuck with the fae she’ll be ruling one day. I’d honestly love to hear the wise advice of Kitty, who probably would just blink vacantly at them and say "Go ask Jack." The Gangrel’s always been itching for a shot to take Thomas down, so his solution would be to distract Thomas while Slate rescued Coriline, and "slip" when fighting to kill him.
