Bubble No. 62: Jest Updatin’

     Yeah, just me jotting down a few lines to make sure I don’t forget my diary exists. ^_^ I’ve been working like crazy on my web domain for the last few days, and I kind of space out about other online stuff when I do that. The domain’s awesome to have though. I love being able to sort everything into neat little categories. I always deplored the lack of organization on my site before, and now I can subcategorize and everything! (Can you see a hint of hereditary OCD showing through? ^_~)

     On the apartment front, Neko and I are going this Thursday and Friday to land something for certain. Okami (aka Gummi) isn’t sure when he’s going to be able to move out, so we’re hunting up a one bedroom for Neko and I. (I’m thinking either the Omni or something off of University.) As for jobs, the most I’ve been getting online is insurance companies. *puzzled look* I’m not sure why they want English majors, but I’m calling one on Monday, then going to the Sun News in Cruces (as well as hunting up the KVIA station there) to drop off resumes. Here’s hoping I get something! Barring anything on that front…*le sigh* I’ll end up (hopefully) transferring to the Subway in Las Cruces to help out there. It’ll be higher pay, so I’m okay with it. Just mildly vexing. Oh well! There’s always another chance, another doorway! ^_^

     I’m torn between anxiety and elation. I mean…I wanted to have been moved out by February, and it’s already May. So…yeah, way behind schedule. Of course, we would have been out earlier if not for that silly cabinet and the people owning the trailer backing out on us. *grrrr…* Oh well, c’est la vie. On the other hand, with Neko around, I can’t help but be happy. ^_^ It’s… Okay, I’m kind of a cynic about love in general. It’s wonderful, pretty, blah blah, but eventually reality whomps in and shatters those rose-coloured glasses. Then the fighting starts.

     However… He’s doing a damn good job of breaking that cynical voice in my head into silence. I can’t quite place it, but when he looks at me, I just think he’ll look at me like that for a long time. Maybe it’s because we’ve been friends for so long before we got together. He’s seen me overweight, grumpy, tired, snarly, makeup-less, slobbishly clothed, happy, spifed up, excited, sad… After nearly seven years, he’s seen it all. So…I’m not all that worried that if I gain four pounds, lose ten more, have a bad day, get really hyper or just want time to myself that he’ll stop caring about me. (Apparently he’s been chasing after me since last June. *laughing* And I never noticed!!) Neko’s…*purr* Let’s just say I really, really like cats now. I loved ’em before, now I adore them.

     Fenshae (aka Wuffie) is graduating next week!! How awesome is that? She’ll have her bachelor’s degree in English, just like moi. Of course, she’s heading straight to grad school. *wistful sigh* I want to go, but for now, I want to try living first. (Although I really DO miss school…) I can’t wait. I’m hoping to get off work early to actually see her graduate, but if I can’t, I know she’ll have a ton of her beloved fae around to cheer her on. (I’ve got a really spify lit’l present in mind. I think she’s going to get a kick out of it. And since she reads my diary, I’m SO not putting down what it is. *raspberries at mah Wuffie* HAH!) So…yeah. It’s been an exciting few weeks. The Jonas-Dia story is undergoing a bit of a change from the original plotline, and after Wuffie gives me her opinion, I’ll know where to go with it next.

     Tonight ought to be amusing. I’m staying at Neko’s house, as we both work the same hours tomorrow (and he’s been asking me to sleep over for weeks now.) Then I’m going to try to dash by Wuffie’s work tomorrow evening. Monday is (hopefully!!) Spider-Man 3!!! I can’t wait! *grins* Well, best get back to "work." I have characters to make on my break, and poor Neko has to stay awake all day. (Thank heavens for my PS2, Resident Evil 4 and the new memory card!) Fond breezes follow!!
