Bubble No. 61: Life Again!

It’s been a very interesting, and highly busy, couple of months. ^_^ So…where to begin? At the beginning, of course. *snerk* Oh well, the beginning for me varies all the time.

So, on the Ninja and I front, for those of you who are interested…things are going…*blink* frighteningly well. He’s…scary perfect. It’s mildly odd to have someone smile the moment they see you, cuddle with you every chance they get, and let you do what you need without clinging, whining, fussing, making you feel guilty. I can go spend hours with Wuffie and come home to him without a fuss. He smiles, kisses me and wants to know how the visit was. We go places, have fun, laugh a lot, talk about things that need to be done… ^_^ I really do adore that silly neko. One of my co-workers says we’re ‘stuck’ together, and I can’t say I’d complain about that. It’s so cute… Wuffie showed me a website called Subeta, which is like Neopets in that you adopt a digital pet, buy stuff for it, occasionally roleplay with the pet, etc etc. I showed it to Ninja, and he was hooked. With his twisted ability to figure things out, he was soon raping the system for all it was worth and getting a ton of the site’s "money." So what does he do with it? Gets me my one wishlist item: a guinea pig-type critter called a Cavie. (They’re adorable!!!) Did I squee? Oh yeah. Did I kiss him senseless? You betcha. He’s just….*purrs, snerks* There’s a t-shirt I absolutely need to get that says "My significant other says ‘meow." And a pin at Spirit Winds (a coffee shop in Las Cruces I love) that says it as well. Can you tell my next frivolous purchase? (Other than Ibu’s birthday present. We’ve all collectively gotten him the Gundam collection he wanted. I’m hunting for a little Soundwave toy, just for kicks.)

Wuffie and I have been roleplaying together, and by golly, my admiration for that woman’s brain becomes more evident every time we interact. *purrs* She’s brilliant. She has an OD now, too! *squee!* Her username is Fenshae, and anyone who likes my writing will adore hers. *worships* I fully admit, I’m one of her fangirls. Very, very much so. Turns out, Brandenburg is a perfect place for her to explore the world of rules-bordered roleplaying, AND revive some characters she loved too much to let go. *purr!* Watch me utterly not complain! She makes…*winsome sigh* utterly amazing storylines, characters, conflict ideas… *momentary fangirlish squeal….~ahem~…* Okay, I’m better now. ^_^ But seriously…she’s fabulous.

As for how things are going on the job hunt, well… I don’t expect to hear anything immediately. I go to the website every day to check for postings, send a few more email applications, and once my manager gets back from his vacation (the lucky sonufa…), I get to scamper off and try the resume dropping thing again. *grrr* That was annoying, but a perfect example of what an absolute mitsukai Ninja is.
I had been planning to dress up and go to the addresses of a couple of magazines that publish out of Las Cruces to drop off my resume. Get up, start getting ready, go to check bank balance to make sure I have money to pop a bit of gas in the tank. Call bank…find out balance…$3. Riiiiiiiiiight. Like I can get gas with that. Huff because all the purchases (mostly gas and drinks/food) hit at the exact same bloody time. Let Ninja know I won’t be able to go anywhere, due to having a quarter of a tank of gas and no money. Settle in for a tedious day at home of laundry. Make a sandwich, think I hear my phone. Go to check phone. Ninja’s text reads, and I quote: "Meow, I believe you need a hug. I’m heading over to snag you." Panic because I’m so not dressed. Dash around, fling on clothes, slap on a little makeup, be outside smoking a clove when he pulls up. Get massively cuddled, taken to his house, tucked in for a delightful nap curled up next to him. Wake up, watch a movie together, goof off, play on Subeta, snuggle more, talk, make snide commentary on TV shows. Get taken home in plenty of time to get to sleep for work, get more kisses, thank him profusely all day.

I mean…he did that. Out of nowhere. No prodding, no hinting. Nothing. Just decided I needed to have a good day and set out to make it happen. *purring loudly* How wonderful is he? (Yeah, yeah…I sound like a lovesick eighth grader. Suck it up.) So…yeah. The job thing is going about as fast as I thought it would, things are amazing with Ninja, Wuffie’s making me squeal with delight every time I talk to her, and mah guys are glorious as always. *snerk* An example of the kind of things we do…

So, yesterday around noon I get a call as I’m waiting for Wuffie to wake up and come outside to hang with me. It’s Gummi asking if I want to go to a drag queen show. Now who on earth would turn that down? Not me! I say "Hell yes," and go about my day in the brilliant glow of Wuffie’s company. Around seven thirty, I leave her at work and go to Ninja’s house to snuggle him, after berating him for not sleeping. (Silly neko got off of graveyard and just played Diablo II all day. Dork! He didn’t go to sleep until nearly four after I yelled at him to take a nap.) We sleep until ten, Gummi arrives, we talk for a bit, (Ninja shows me the Cavie he bought for me,) and then zip off to pick up my glorious co-worker Anna (whom I adore.) We dash off to pick up Ibu, which involves some rather hilarious squirming in the backseat of my small Neon, (and as Ibu, Gummi and Anna aren’t small people, it was damn funny to watch.) We zip off to the club in town where the show is and bolt inside. Yep, it was in a bar, and some of the greatest amusement was watching people attempt to dance. (Ninja’s going to teach me how to do a few more two-step dances, and next time, we’re on the floor! He likes to dance! How glorious is he? *squee!*) Not to mention the old man who was totally plastered and dancing by himself by the bar.
Around midnight, the show started. There were only two guys doing it, both of them with two costumes each, but oh man they were good! *dies laughing* We’d been taking bets as to which guy (Ibu, Ninja or Gummi) would get hit on first. All bets were off: It was Ibu by a nose! The first "woman" out was a -hell- of a good dancer, very…flexible in the hips, and sang straight to Ibu. (Oh yeah, we died laughing.) The second one…also went straight to Ibu. The first woman came out in a different outfit…and went straight to Gummi. (The guys were awesome sports about it. They nearly got lap dances, and Ibu tipped one by stuffing his bill in her "cleavage." HILARITY!) Then the second woman, who I’m guessing was the bar’s main drag queen, pulled a bunch of guys onto the dance floor to have a little dance competition. (She wanted Ibu and Gummi, but there was only so far they were going to humiliate themselves.) And considering the men were -very- drunk, two of them started stripping. I have not laughed so hard in months. We finished out the drag queen show, spent more time laughing at the drunk guys who were having problems putting their clothes back on. (Ended up doing a very suspicious dance together…which was fun to watch.) We scampered off, dropped Ibu and Anna off at home while hearing about god-awful ghost encounters. (Ibu and a little broken-neck boy….*shudder!*) Dashed Ninja home for some snuggling, and then I made it home at five in the morning. Just enough time to nap before getting up to spend the day with my mom. (Which was really enjoyable. Great little coffee shop in El Paso we went to, played in Goodwill and found some spify books, headed to lunch at Village Inn, talked about the upcoming babies…which are a niece and nephew respectively…got stuffs at Wal-Mart {I saw your truck, RavenMom!}…got more tiles for the new patio and headed home.)

So…yeah. I’m exhausted, but happy. ^_^ Got a fun D&D session waiting for tomorrow afternoon, post-work. (Ninja’s running a pirate-based game, and Gummi’s playing a gecko-lizardman. Ibu’s a nymph and I’m a neutral evil elf with a continual list of one-liners. It’s awesome.) Definately exhausted but happy, and I love that. It’s the way it should be.

April 10, 2007

Y’know, if you keep spreading all of these flattering rumours about me, my head *might* just explode from the effort of containing my supersized ego 😉 And teh Ninja is a good egg. I give my stamp of approval. Then again, I’ve been giving my stamp of approval on this one for…oh…HOW many months? 😉 Much love.
