Bubble No. 60: Ah, Updateishness…
I love having a perpetual good mood going. ^_^ Things have been insanely busy, but delightful.
Ninja took me out on a real date on Thursday (despite my whining protests) and it was…*purr* He took me to the Olive Garden (*squee!*) and we had a lovely dinner. (Even with me fussing that he was spending too much money, and him laughing and patting my hand.) Shared tiramisu, I had about a fourth of a glass of wine, it was lovely. And then he wanted to go to the mall (which is right next to the restaurant), and we headed to the art/antiquities shop there, Art Nova. Now, this is where we’ve been coming (all of my friends and I) to drool over Egyptian statues, paintings, etc etc. (They have so many things I want! A sarcophagus wine cabinet which I could convert to a bookcase soooooo easily…) Ninja wanted a Bast to replace the little one he has (that I gave him years ago…poor thing’s nose is chipped…she makes the altar look kind of sad.) There was a lovely one in the case, and while he was dealing with the cashier, I wandered around and sighed over stuff. I come back to the register, and he’s examining a beautiful black and gold Anubis. I coo over it and wander off to drool a bit more. When I pop back, he’s bought both Bast and Anubis. I chuckle, figuring he couldn’t pass up the chance, and we head out. When we’re leaving, he hands the bag with Anubis’s box in it to me and says "You were so upset about losing your little Anubis, I had to get you a replacement." (I think I swallowed my tongue.) I just gaped, sputtered, coughed a bit and stared at him until he grinned and nodded, repeating that it was for me. Then I spent about ten minutes simultaneously protesting the money he spent (as those are not cheap) and thanking him with profuse kisses. (The Anubis is beautiful, absolutely lovely. Half of Ninja’s altar is covered with my Egyptian stuff. *chuckles*)
It’s just been days like that, over and over again. I bought him a pretty little blue scarab to wear around his neck with his pentacle (which used to be mine. I gave it to him months ago, before I left for Lubbock, and according to everyone who was here while I was gone, he’s never taken it off.) And we got a couple of lovely incense burners to act as oil burners for the altar. Not to mention a piece of jade for me and some t’ai chi earrings that I’d been wanting for ages. (And he bought me perfume last week. Just because. *churr* It smells lovely, kind of like sugary flowers.) So yeah…things are going well with us. ^_^(I’m plotting to buy him something he’ll like for our one-month anniversary…as silly as it may be to celebrate that.)
We all (Ninja, Gummi, my lit’l bro Ian, Mari and I) went to see "Hannibal Rising" last night. Oh my *purrrrrrrrrrrrr* Gaspard Ulliel…HOT!!! Oh my lords that guy is beautiful…we were all just kind of gaping at the screen. And what an actor! That movie was utterly fabulous. I was thrilled with it. (Considering Thomas Harris did the screenplay, that might be why it was so close to the book.) It was just a fantastic movie. (Not to mention getting to drool with friends is fun. ^_^)
And Ninja and I had a hell of a lot of fun staging a massive scene on the site I role-play on. (Yeah, he plays with me. That, let me tell you, is just freakin’ awesome. This guy is so wonderful he’s scaring me.) His Assamite and a character I made on the spur of the moment had everyone freaking out. *chuckles* We’re setting it up to be one of those sets of characters that are so dynamic you love to watch them.
So, all in all, life is being quite spify. We have another trailer in sight to hopefully snag by April to move into. *fingers crossed* $275 a month for a 3 bedroom, woot! And I’m working like crazy, trying to work through a ton of story ideas that won’t stop bouncing around, flinging words at the Jonas/Dia story (which is becoming more interesting by the day!) and trying to get that last bit of information for my resume. *snerk* Wild, wild days. Cheers!
