happy monday

gosh its HOT,  going to be another hot week.  but the days are getting so short.  in the past week its gone from being dark after 9 to getting dark abt 8:30, so its now dark by the time i get to my last mail center.  i love being able to see the sunset each day, but soon it will be dark before i even leave the house.  THAT i dread. and driving in the snow. 

hubs washed the cars yesterday and sure enough last week when i almost died i hit the construction barrel and left two long streaks on the side of my new car.  i knew i had to have hit it, i felt the tires go over the base of the barrel, but like i said it was really a surreal experience, one im glad to have survived.  it was like an out of body ordeal for sure.  my poor car is taking such abuse. 

what else, sat i shucked 5 1/2 dozen corn and froze, made a meatloaf, some beef stew from a left over roast, then yesterday i canned 20 qts of tomatoe juice,  three didnt seal so im going to either use it or have to re processe them and i dont want to go to all that work for three qts. i want to do double the juice amount and make some more cut tomatoes.  maybe some tomatoe sauce as well.  then if i can i want to try peaches.  hubs loves peaches, ive never done them before, but they cant be too hard, right? 

later i have to finish the bills,yeterday between tomatoes i got them ready to pay, just have to write out the checks and send them in  now.  well guess id better go.  im trying to plan a swim party for the gkids before school starts, and school starts in just a few weeks now.  so have a great day, sees yas all later, 🙂
