It’s official!! The Christmas season has started! Woohoo! I actually already received one of M’s gifts. Of course I promptly gave it to him because I couldn’t wait. Ha ha. Oh well. We’ll consider that as a before Christmas ‘I Love You’ gift. He was happy so, score! Kinda?

Celebrated Turkey Day with the in-laws yesterday. I cooked but we brought it over to their house. Instead of doing the typical turkey we did LASAGNA with homemade Italian bread and salad. It was pretty dang good. What can I say, I make a mean lasagna! About a week and a half ago I told M it was time to approach his parents in regards to what they want to do on Thanksgiving. Since our house is under construction, it wasn’t plausible to cook and serve oodles of people here. Last year, I cooked a huge meal but brought it to my in-laws house. It kind of upset me as a lot of M’s family was there, that never offers to do holidays, are users/abusers, etc AND everyone took left overs but as…after we spend a couple hundred dollars on the groceries. Anyways, I told M that when we mention turkey day he should volunteer lasagna and then I would do a turkey dinner for us the next day. (Does that make me horrible?) Ironically enough, it was VERY well received! My FIL is not a big fan of turkey so the moment M said lasagna he was like "Lasagna? For Thanksgiving? That’s great! That’s a good idea! I like that. What do you think, Anneliese? Lasagna? FOR THANKSGIVING!!" As always, my MIL changed the subject. She does this EVERY year and it’s like pulling teeth to hammer out the details. This go around my FIL wouldn’t allow that. He wanted lasagna set in stone, by golly. And, so it was. 🙂 I made it with my homemade sauce and we all ate tooooo much. Then I ate toooo much today as well. Although, I do admit, I much prefer the leftover turkey, stuffing, cranberry sandwiches over the actual meal.

I have managed to talk M into attending a concert with me on the 4th- I am beyond excited! They are doing choir and instrumental pieces from Hende;’s Messiah as well as some Vivaldi and some of my other favorite pieces. Gloria In Excelsis Deo! <3 I think I need to audition for this group.

Additionally, I think we are going to check out the lights in the park tomorrow. Thanks to my Starbucks Gold card I have TWO free coffees waiting for me. I told hubby we could get a coffee and walk the park so I can take pictures. I’ll even buy a mini Bailey’s!! But then I’d get a plain coffee and wouldn’t waste my dang free coffees on a plain one. I’m cheap! I want fancy for free. ha ha.

I love taking peektures. 🙂

I’m still sick- I’ve been coughing like crazy and just cannot get it to stop. I keep losing my voice and still get feverish on occasion. Being sick is for the birds!!

I think that is all I got! M is pestering me for a turkey sandwich and I need to surf the interwebz some more for holiday crafting ideas. Ho Ho Ho, yo!

I had a heck of a time finding the mini 50ml Bailey’s! I’m doing them for a part of gifts this year, and it was crazy… no one carries them here!
