glutten sensitive?
last february I broke out in hives all over my body. woke up with them. Hives fade during the day, but next morning there they were again. for 2 weeks this went on. I even had them on my face! I ate benidril like candy so I could sleep at night. After two week, I started with runs, explose early morning stuff. and later on at odd points in day.. and a few weeks later constapation then runs.. etc
the first doctor I went to, a nice young man, too test and never gave me the results, but told me to take benidril. the second doctor a middle aged hispanic man, said hives don’t last. (no tests, no concern) the third doctor, a nice young woman. but by then I had done my own research. and never mentioned it to her as I had it under control (3 months later) But the nice young woman did run test, gave me shots for things I needed , ie things a doctor should have been doing all along. I decided to keep this one.
after the second doctor’s opinion of "its JUST hives" , I kept track of what I at. I found that if I ate anything with the man made vitium B something (its called something else, I had to look it up on line to find out that it was a man made substance), gave me runs. Its in everything that has flour by the way. so stopped eating flour things. MY middle child-wendy- who is health nut- shared the glutten sensitive thing with me. and suger free stuff
I started not eating anythign with gluttens. and guess what. no more runs, no more constapation, no more hives. hmmm. yet if I eat anything with gluttens… belly crambs almost immediately.
that is quite a deterent when it comes to the donut offered at work. I have found there are glutten free products on market now, donuts, breads etc. and I have been experimenting with making bread on form glutten free recipts.. rice , nut based. I live in colorado so the high altitude may be what keeps them from raising . so its still experimenta… and I don’t bake so much due to working a full week,
but working full time is another rant.for another day.
just saying, mam made stuff (additives) is killing us…so with that thought–have a great day!
I have coeliac disease and can’t have any gluten whatsoever.

Hello. Not sure we’ve spoken before, but I see we share many friends. I am gluten-intolerant too. I had many of your symptoms, plus extreme exhaustion and joint pain. Found out accidentally when I went on a diet that included avoiding wheat. One day I broke it and all those things came back with a vengeance. Light bulb went on that wheat must have been the cause. After that I found out that otherthings like rye and oats were problems too. Can you get tapioca flour where you live? Added to rice flour, it makes your baking soft and moist and tastes better.

I gave up wheat/gluten in April for no particular reason and then gave up sugar (and substitutes)in May. I feel ok but can’t really see any big differences. Of course I’m not gluten intolerant. I just did it to reduce the choices I have to make.. Good luck with the baking.
