3days to new year
today, tomorrow and the next… all that is left of 2010— 3 cheers!!! Will be totally glad to see the back side of this year! and hope that the next is not worse…. though I have my doubts. It seems I am always depressed during the loss of light. it is called seasonal affective disorder. cured by sunlight, or any light bulb that has the same sort of rays in it. I had one once… but this year I don’t, and I’m a grump.
6 more months till I’m 65, but can’t get full retirement pay till I’m 66 and a half, IF I can afford to retire, which I can’t… same ol line of thought, but at my age security IS a ugly rut (line of thought) how do you pay the bills on a very very limited income? … you don’t, you starve… (again with the negative thoughts! I know!)
I was impressed yesterday with two of my clients who were sooo very positive they uplifted me! one was depressed but his goal was (as he is financially deep in the hole and has a family to support (on Disability) anyhow his goal was to share his Love with his family. "its the one gift I can give them" and his family needs it. He says he has already started by telling his 14 yr old son only positive things
another clt had same type of feedback.
and makes me feel better, and something to hold on to for next month or so… focus on the positives! even if you have to hunt for them
Finding positives can be challenging, but not nearly impossible. The first one I encounter each day is finding that I woke up. Again. I think you will find retirement not as bare bones as you think. First, you will not have the expenses concerned with maintaining a job. Your clothing budget will be all but eliminated as well as a great part of your commuting. You will also find that the best part of retirement is the freedom of not having that clock hanging over your head. I retired early at 62.5 and took a hefty hit, but I am surviving. I do what I want, when I can do it. There is no rush to do it now. You should be fine. Be well, my friend.

finding positives can be difficult but i have to say that’s a good thing to do for a 14 year old boy. they need all the positive they can get. take care,
