Ian

I had lunch with a friend a few weeks ago and she asked how you were as baby compared to your sister. She knew Salem as a baby and she knew she was so well tempered, and she was aware of my fear that you would be a little terror. And I had to tell her the truth, you are better than she was. She smiled and reminded me that God will not give me more than I can handle. And with you, he gave me just what I needed. The time after your birth was difficult and confusing for mommy, but one that thing that remained clear was that he gave me everything I wanted in you.

Looking at you now, your half crawl and goofy smile, my heart melts with love. I wish I could stop time and hold you, my little baby forever. I know that can’t be, and so I am just trying to embrace every moment we have now. I am so proud of you already. I see things in you that no one else does, but I know you will be magnificent!

The first time I touched you, you were technically not even born yet, and my heart belonged to you immediately. It will forever. My son, the boy of my dreams.

His teeth were hurting real bad, so I let him share a strawberry fruit bar with me.                                             This kid loves the Dodgers, and I am not even sure why. Must be hereditary. He smiles every time we show him that logo.

Playing guitar with daddy is his new favorite past time.                                           Trying to play by himself.

I really can’t get enough of him.                                                          The day the obsession with the guitar began.

Pirate Island at Disneyland.                                                            He loves his daddy and sister.

His changing table is by the window. He loves the morning sun.                                                 Cuddles in the morning time.

My beautiful boy during nap time. His lashes are gorgeous!                                             One week old. Daddy tried to hide him amongst his bears.

Daddy took this picture to prove his infatuation of me.                                             Sleeping with his giraffe. This is his first act of cuddling on his own.

With my dad at Disneyland. He was about to ride Pirate’s of the Carribean.                                      The first time he took an interest in my food! Double Double from In N Out.

His first Valentine’s Day present from Daddy.                                    I tried to take cute nude pictures of him one day. This was the only one I got before he peed.

Checking out the lights in Uncle Zach’s room.                                   Lunch with daddy.

More cuddles with mommy, what else is there? LOL                                First day at the park, and in the swing!

Second day of testing. This picture makes me hurt, but I had to take it.                                 Discovery of cartoons.

Shortly after he starting making goofy faces to make us smile.                               I love the way he sleeps.

The first time mommy took a bath and played with Ian.                             Clutching to me while nursing, I never want it to stop.

Gramps got me my first Dodger hat!                                                   My buddy and me!

First Easter. He was too little to hunt eggs so we put him in his basket!                              His Easter outfit and smolder look!

Ian loves birds. My dad bought this for him at the Zoo.                            Just another day at Disneyland.

I really love letting him get dirty when he eats!

Sky buckets with Daddy at Sea World.

He looked so small in our bed at the hotel in San Diego.                               The scratch after I let him fall off the bed.

Ian sleeping with his bird.                                                                  I happen to love this shot. He was just playing around.  =o)
