Beach Pictures
It has been a good weekend. We’ve done a lot and celebrated new chapters coming into our life. Plus, we made some pretty good new memories too.
Friday night we went to Disneyland for a few hours to see our friends from up north (Justin’s brother and wife) and pretty much say goodbye because it is not likely we will see them again before we move to Georgia. Had fun playing and bonding with another stay at home mom who has suffered with postpartum.
Saturday was our beach day, and we took the tim to visit 3 different beaches. The day didn’t start off so good (I slipped and fell in Target on my son’s slurpee spill) but the rest of the day and the end was pretty great. There was a moment when I was laying in the sand reading, watching my babies play in the sand from over the top of my book, and I felt complete peace. We had dinner on the pier but missed the sunset because it was too overcast. Came home long after bed time and enjoyed a glass of wine with my husband while the kids slept.
Today we spent a few hours at the mall, again really just playing and killing time. We had our last open house today and I shouldn’t have to deal with anymore showings of the house, because an offer was made yesterday that my father in law is happy with, and he decided today would give anyone else an opportunity to do better, otherwise we are done. He joined us at the mall for lunch, and he and Scott had a celebratory beer while me and Salem (and sleeping Ian) played in an arcade and won 394 tickets!
And tonight I want to share because I am really wanting to put in a good effort towards this diary again. Tomorrow morning Salem gets an award at school, which means my day starts earlier than normal, and I am planning on taking her out early to let her know how proud I am of her that she got awards all three trimesters this year. I guess what I am trying to say, is good job Salem, and I likely wouldn’t get on here tomorrow.
So in no particular order other than how they loaded, here are our pictures from yesterday.
Pelicans flying over.
Just being silly with my girl. tSilly time with my boy.
While I was feeling tranquil.
This pier has been here for me since I was 14.
Playing in the tent.
Best view I had all day.
Cuddling with daddy.
I have no idea how Scott got a Mickey Mouse shaped tan line, but we thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Cuddling with mommy.
Seeking adventure.
I was seeking a little too.
I was so happy yesterday, I just went with it.
I can’t say enough how much I love them!
Salem climbed this rock on her first birthday.
Ian loves the water.
It was fun watching them with their daddy yesterday.
Explaining to Ian that he could pick up sea shells.
More pelicans. I love that they fly in a line rather than in a v shape.
Beginning our descent to the bottom. Those stairs were a great workout!
I love the images of Ian cuddling with you guys. And holy CRAP you look stellar in a bikini!!

So many great pics today, and so many memories for me they bring back of my days growing up in Northridge. Those times at the beach and checking out the trapped wade pools….just like your little ones; so fascinated! Thanks for sharing them my friend, and you look wonderful…but how could you not with those two loving all over you. 🙂

OMG, that wasn’t Thousand Steps in Laguna Beach, was it? It almost looks like it, but bigger. I used to practically live there in summer growing up. And Ruby’s? Haven’t eaten there in a couple of years. The last time was the one in Seal Beach by my dad’s. I just love the photos, as always. 🙂 And thanks for your note. It’s nice to have people understand where I am coming from. 🙂
