surgery…again

Since I hurt my knee last Thursday, it is still killing me. The swelling has only gone down a little bit and it still hurts really bad.

I really think that I came back to work a little too early. The past two days when I have gotten home from work, I am in agonizing pain. I put it up, take a shower, take a hydro, and go to bed. Because of the hydro, I can sleep decent (thank god!)

I really think that I need to take another day off to relax. I do a lot of walking around at the casino, which probably doesn’t help. So, I am going to call my doctor tomorrow on my lunch break and see what he says. If he says that I need another day to continue recoup I am going to need a doctors note.

I did go to the doctors on Monday. He told me that I need to get surgery. Yea. Great. Thanks.

I have to get arthroscopoic surgery. That means they aren’t going to make a huge incision , just a couple inches. Then they need to realign my patella and put screws in my knee to hold it in place. ugh. I know this is going to fix my problem, but I am 21. I should not be having screws in my knee.

I am getting workman’s comp, so I am not really losing any pay. It just sucks b/c I actually like this internship. I like the job, so I want to stay, but I think that I need a little more time to let me knee heal.

The internship is going good. I can actually check people in and out by myself, for the most part. There are some things that I don’t know how to do yet, but I seem to be catching on quickly.

I will at the front desk again tomorrow. I am sitting in with housekeeping interviews on Friday (if my doctor says its ok).
