Today started out like every day this summer. Hot. It’s not fun waking up in a pool of your own sweat. 35C (thats 95F for those who dont know). And that’s with a ceiling fan and pedestool fan on.
Had to go into the rental office were I’m applying for a new house. Let’s hope I get it otherwise this diary adventure will be short lived as I will have no where to live if they say no. It was at least 38C in the sun while I was walking from the bus stop to the office, and I honestly thought I would collapse from the heat. As they say, its not the heat that gets you, its the humidity. Sometimes you swear its 100% humidity out there even though its not raining.
Rain, man I wish it would rain. Maybe I could learn a rain dance? That’d make packing a lot easier to do. It’s hard enough being brutal about your possesions on what you should keep and what really shoud’ve been thrown out years ago, let alone having to do this with sweat dripping down your forehead so badly you can’t see. Sounds kinda gross doesn’t it?
At least after a long day of melting I was lucky enough to finish it off with a swim in my housemates’ parents pool. Stayed in the til my wrinkles had wrinkles.
And now I sadly have to go do the dishes. Exciting I know. But some things you just have to do.
Til next time.
Blu.
I clicked on random today just to read what someone else has to say and came across your entry. I had to look at the date and make sure you really said summer! But then I noticed you live in Australia! What I wouldnt give for some heat right now. We have had snowstorm after snowstorm here and I would happily trade ya! 🙂
