Brittany Novotny is trans, and is running against a real homophobe, SallyKern for a seat in the Oklahoma state congress.

This Sally Kern incumbent has said things like the homosexuals are the greatest threat to America — not unemployment, not Al Queda, not the Chinese, but the gays. This is a person who can’t prioritize very well. Let’s help out our friends in Oklahoma, okay?

When I get paid next I will make a donation (that should be in about a week). I’ll go back & save the link or I’ll just come back to this entry. When I watched the movie Milk I was horrified at the way gay people were spoken about & treated back then. Literally horrified when the showed the actual news clips & newspaper headlines. To think that Sally Kern is behaving the same way in 2009 has mecompletely dumbfounded. It’s sickening to think about. Thank you for making me aware of these things. I work so much that I hardly ever see the news or surf around on the Internet. Basically I work & when I need a few minutes to unwind I catch up with my favs on OD. I realize it’s pathetic but at least I have a few favs who keep me up to date on things. Granted I have a few too many who write about nonsense but that’s what the X is for at the top of the screen. It’s my own fault if I don’t use it.
