This guy is a real hero

Keith Olberman is getting a record for standing up for morale issues (and against immoral positions) that is earning a lot more than just my respect.

Here is his special commentary from last nite (10 Nov) on his show.  It was so emotional and so touching that I had tears of pride that someone would stand up and make such a case on such a national, public forum.

Olbermann: Gay marriage is a question of love
Everyone deserves the same chance at permanence and happiness

take care, everyone.

hugs

(((HUGS))) back

I’ve heard about this twice already. I am glad he’s in the media at this time.

Why is it so hard for some people to understand that it’s not about gender preference at all? It’s not even about anyone’s religious beliefs. Religious beliefs have no place in government policy. Our founding fathers made that clear. It’s all about equality. It’s about fairness. It’s about rights. It is morally wrong to infringe on the rights of ANY other citizen. I get so frustrated.

I’ve seen this and just love it.

Hey! I can’t keep up with your posts. LOL. I just finished one longassed post on your last entry because I am just opinionated that way. Now I need to move on so I’ll have to come back to read this one later. Have a great day Jude.

Okay, I cried, I’ll admit it. I’m glad that there’s people out there that are saying this as well. Lots of hugs, John

My marriage to opponents is this: if you don’t like gay marriage, don’t get one. To oppose two adults who love each other from getting married protects absolutely nothing. It is pure malice. Nothing less.

Err… my message to gay marriage opponents…

It all seems so obvious.

I watched that and even though i appreciate what he’s saying, i was actually put off a bit by the changing camera angles. It seemed almost melodramatic. Still, i do admit i got a bit teary-eyed.
