Latest Phishing Scheme

Is from hackers who are pretending to be the FDIC.  You get an email that looks like it’s from the FDIC telling you your bank is being closed, and asks you to go to their site and enter your bank information. DONT DO IT. This is not how the FDIC works.

Details here.  Read the links in that article if you want more info.

Good luck. Remember, never click on an email and then enter your bank info. You don’t know where that email link took you, no matter what it says on the screen.

Just be careful out there.

It’s sad how many people may end up falling for it. Thanks for the info.

I got caught in a phishing net and have no idea how it happened – I have a weird charge on my phone bill and have to call the company!

Considering that I never check my email, I don’t think this will be a big problem for me. I just wanted to let you know that you look fantastic though! Lots of hugs, John
