Happy Father’s Day

Hi folks,

Hope everyone had a good Fathers Day out there.

It was quiet here – Sweety had Day 3 of a 3 day seminar (yeah, it was rough on her), so I did some chores this morning, some shopping, goofed off, then cooked a supremely meat-laden meal for everyone when they arrived

BBQ shrimp (appetizer for me and daughter)

chicken wings (yes, more appetizer)

spare ribs, oven-baked fries and sweet potato fries, (my first attempt at) szechuan string beans (food network), garlic bread. 

topped off with a glass of bermuda black rum. yum.

oh, btw, i joined in on the planning for the transgender conference in 2009. it’ll be here in Arlington (Alexandria?).  The sponsoring org is IFGE (www.IFGE.org).  Sweety and I went to the ones in Philly in 06 and ’07 (and skipped the one in Tucson this year).  In ’09, it’ll be in a nice hotel in February.  I’ll post more details as the planning gets farther along.  Transfolk of all persuasion and friends and relatives and partners are all very welcome – it’s 3 great days (Thurs-Sat)
