Avatar

We saw "Avatar" last nite, the 3d version.

We paid extra for the 3d tickets, and it is worth it.  That is one great flick.  My son’s crowd (he’s 18 now) was pessimistic "it’s Pocahontas with aliens".  Well, yes, but it was good!  Different than Pocahontas too.

If you haven’t come to hate big corporations yet, well, you may well after this movie.

It has some very impressive ideas, decent acting too (considering the actors are computer generated from motion capture), and we liked the story.

The 3d technology is much better than it was years ago.  I’m wondering how long it will take them to get it into a TV for your living room.

Bottom line:  2 thumbs up for Avatar.  Go check it out.

Oh, and if you have a Paypal account, you might want to check any credit cards and/or bank accounts linked to your Paypal account.  I have personal knowledge of some folks getting their Paypal accts hacked.

Stay warm out there (we’re in Virginia, and we have 17 degrees with a 5 degree wind chill)

I must be the only person left who hasn’t seen Avatar by now. I’d go see it, but i feel like i’ve heard so much about it already that spending money on a ticket would be pointless!
