Day 1
Today is Day 1 of our new diet. I’m pretty excited about it as I think this will help me feel a lot better, and hopefully not be so tired all the time.
For breakfast we finished off our cereal, which we will no longer be buying as it was suggested we go Gluten Free.
I’m hoping to go through our cupboards when we get home and just get rid of most of the things we shouldn’t be eating in this new healthy lifestyle. I also plan to do some shopping and refill those cupboards with options from the Blood Type O list we were given.
Fortunate that we are both the same blood type.
So yes, this is a diet blog. A place for me to own up to my mistakes (like the small piece of bread I ate today that definitely wasn’t Gluten free) and for me to keep track of how I feel, and how my body changes (if I start to have more energy and the like).
I’ll also share what I’ve eaten, and perhaps some recipes that I like as well.
You never know who you’ll meet on your journey.
After work I headed to the gym. I had planned to do some weights as well as cardio, but once I was done my cardio I was eager to get going. So off I went for my walk home. I worked hard at the gym, and my walk home was brisk, and I’m glad for all the exercise I do get in my day-to-day life. In the evening at home I made sure to do some crunches, and I grabbed Ben’s weights and did a few exercises for my arms. It wasn’t a lot, but every little bit helps.
So we desparately needed to get some new kinds of foods into our house so it wasn’t so hard to find stuff to eat. I figure if there aren’t easy snacks to grab, or easy meals to make, it’ll be easy to lapse back and eat the stuff we shouldn’t.
So this is the start of something great! A new chapter of our lives. I’m quite excited.
A new chapter is always exciting stuff. I like it. What are you using to replace your breakfast foods? (Cereal, milk, etc.) I’m more or less in love with cereal so I’m kind of lost when it comes to morning meals that don’t involve pouring grains and milk into a bowl. Do your best! -:DA-
