Hurricane Adrian (update)

Well the Hurricane Recon people flew into Adrian and found that it had, in fact reached minimal hurricane strength. The storm is a very small storm with hurricane force winds only out to about 15 miles away from the storm. Tropical storm force winds are only out to 50 or so miles from the storm center. The big danger is rain and flooding, the storm hits against the mountains and the moisture is forced higher into the air, where it is cooler, and the moisture is squeezed out of the clouds.

The storm appears headed towards the El Salvador/Guatemala border region, will probably cross over onto land tonight around midnight and be back over the open waters by 5pm friday, if it’s still intact. Could be worse, but it’s still not a fun night for the people in the area.

I suspect I’m going to drive people nuts with these updates 🙂

im just glad i dont live by it … would be 🙁 and scary. Thunderstorms alone scare me! Hugs and Much Love,

What would you do if the Weather Channel was no more? I think you’d go nuts and I’d find you somewhere, huddled in a corner, rocking, murmuring to yourself about the weather. No no that isn’t a nimbus cloud no no its a sirrus or however you spell it.
